WWE NXT Results and Grades: AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT were back on Wednesday at the same time and both shows had some great matches on show.
There were a couple of titles on the line and there was a chance of new champions being crowned.
WWE NXT also had some incredible rivalries on the show too and here are the results and grades from this week:
Shirai vs Blackheart
Shotzi Blackheart seems to be Io Shirai鈥檚 latest rival and she could have been in title contention if she won.

Both stars put on a show with Shirai using all the tools in her box. It was the champion, Shirai who got the win. After the clash. Both showed a mark of respect for each other and it seems this rivalry isn鈥檛 done yet.
Shirai beats Blackheart
Grade A
Blackheart might have come up a little too quick in recent weeks but this performance was proof that she is ready for the big time.
She went toe to toe with the champion and if she keeps on performing like this, she should get a title shot.
Ciampa stopped
Tommaso Ciampa took on Desmond Troy and it was the Blackheart who got the win easily.
However, he tried to attack Troy with a steel chair before Jake Atlas appeared.
Atlas was the recipient of a brutal attack from Ciampa a few weeks back, and challenged the former NXT Champion for a battle.
Ciampa beats Troy
Grade B
The match wasn鈥檛 relevant as WWE wants to set up Atlas vs Ciampa. This could be a good rivalry and with Ciampa involved, we should see the best from Atlas. Maybe NXT is trying to bring in the next set of stars and Atlas could be one.
Kushida vs Theory
New NXT Champion Finn Balor had a segment where he warned anyone who crossed his path.
Austin Theory then came out and challenged anyone from the locker room. Theory was confident he would be a top star in the future and it was Kushida who came out to face him.

Theory and Kushida put on a show but it was Kushida who got the win thanks to a submission.
Kushida beats Theory
Grade B
Kushida looks a different person now since becoming a heel and this was a great match with Theory. It seems WWE is pushing talent with Theory and Atlas, and it will be interesting to see how this new look NXT does.
Tag team title clash
Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) defended their tag titles against former champions Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel).
Aichner and Barthel looked determined to reclaim the titles but Breezango were just as determined to keep them.

The quartet exchanged several moves and blows with some close class. In the end, it was Breeze who got the win as Breezango kept hold of their titles.
Breezango beats Imperium
Grade A
Breezango are back to their best but this was an incredible battle against the former champions. It will be interesting to see who the champions face next but WWE has a few options on NXT.
Carter and Catanzaro get a win
Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro teamed up against Jessie Kamea and Xia Li.

It was the more experienced pair of Carter and Catanzaro that got the win in the end. However they tried to show some respect to the losers but Li left the ring.
Carter and Catanzaro beat Li and Kamea
Grade C
The match wasn鈥檛 anything to speak about as there were many great bits. However, WWE is teasing a rivalry with Li and it will be interesting to see how this goes.
Maverick and Dain team up
Killian Dain and Drake Maverick haven鈥檛 seen eye to eye for a while but they teamed up to face Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong of the Undisputed Era.
This is hard to watch. #WWENXT @WWEMaverick @roderickstrong pic.twitter.com/w1pZzokyAY

However, Dain didn鈥檛 come out to help Maverick as it became a two on one handicap match. William Regal, the NXT GM, talked some sense into Dain and he came out to sort of help Maverick.
THAT'S MORE LIKE IT! #WWENXT @KillianDain @roderickstrong @theBobbyFish pic.twitter.com/8PuFf792Oy
— WWE (@WWE) September 17, 2020
However, Fish and Strong used a steel chair to cause the DQ before the UE left. Dain then hit Maverick with a hard right to end the segment.
Dain and Maverick win via DQ
Grade C
WWE loves pairing unlikely people together and they seem to be doing the same with Maverick and Dain.
North American title clash
NXT North American champion Damian Priest defended his title against the submission artist Timothy Thatcher.
Thatcher used a range of submission holds to weaken Priest but the champion powered through to pick up the win.
Come for the bulging eyes. Stay for the massive clothesline.
At this rate, @ArcherOfInfamy's #NXTNATitle reign may just #LiveForever. 馃徆#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/93cIQGTdMR
— WWE (@WWE) September 17, 2020
Priest beats Thatcher
Grade B
Priest is another one of those new stars that WWE is pushing and he looked great as the NXT North American champion. Thatcher looked good too and WWE should be able to build this rivalry up too.
