WWE NXT Results and Grades: NXT had crowned two new champions at TakeOver with Damian Priest and Karrion Kross picking up titles.
Keith Lee left NXT as he was called up to Raw and that left a gaping hole in the title scene on NXT.
However, Kross had one major announcement to make on this WWE NXT show and that is where we start off with the results and grades.
Kross injured his shoulder at TakeOver and came out with a sling. He was accompanied by Scarlett Bordeaux and vacated the title due to his injury.
However, he warned that he would be back for his crown and Bordeaux even kept an hourglass in the middle of the ring to signify that Kross will be back.
Grade B
This was expected since Triple H also confirmed that Kross was injured. It will be interesting to see for how long he is out but WWE had a major announcement to make regarding this later on in the show.
Breezango got their shot at Imperium and the tag team titles next. The two teams went at it with all four men getting a chance to shine.
However, it was Breezango who got the win thanks to double leg drops as they won the titles.
Breezango beats Imperium
Grade B
Breezango looked good and they should do well as the new tag champions. It will be interesting to see who faces them next but it is great seeing Tyler Breeze and Fandango winning titles.
Tommaso Ciampa was back in action on NXT after a while as he took on Jake Atlas.
The former NXT Champion destroyed Atlas and picked up an easy win. However, he kept attacking Atlas even after the medics tried to take him away on a stretcher.
Ciampa beats Atlas
Grade B
Ciampa showed off his vicious side as he destroyed Atlas. While it might seem it was a little too much, this was a reminder of how dangerous Ciampa is.
Robert Stone was run over by Shotzi Blackheart again as she faced off against Mia Yim.
The match was well-paced and evenly matched but it was Blackheart who got the win after a high-flying move.
Blackheart beats Yim
Grade B
Blackheart getting the win continues her push, however, Yim deserves more on NXT and it will be interesting to see if she moves up with Lee.
William Regal announced a new clash for the NXT title as Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa, Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano would meet next week in a 60-minute Iron man match.
Santos Escobar then took on Isaiah Swerve Scott as he defended his Cruiserweight title. Scott was a problem for Escobar throughout and had a few close calls.
However, Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde made an appearance but the new tag champions nullified them.
Escobar used a mask later on to headbutt Scott and pick up the win.
Escobar beats Scott
Grade A
The match was excellent as both stars showed off their skills and it keeps an option open for a rematch as Escobar cheated to get the win.
Kyle O’Reilly took on Drake Maverick in the next match of the evening. O’Reilly got the win after an exchange of moves and then Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong attacked Maverick.
Killian Dain came in to save Maverick but then attacked the former 205 Live GM.
O’Reilly beats Maverick
Grade B
The match was pretty solid but the ending left everyone confused. Why would Dain come out an attack Maverick after trying to save him?
Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai teamed up to face Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez in a tag match. Mercedes Martinez played a role in this clash as she attacked Ripley and that allowed the heels to get the win.
Kai and Gonzalez beat Ripley and Shirai
Grade B
Martinez and Gonzalez both seem to have an eye out for Ripley and it will be interesting to see how this develops.
Gonzalez looked great in the ring too, and she could be a huge talent in the coming years.
