WWE NXT Results and Grades: NXT was back with its year end awards and there were nine categories to look forward too.
The awards were handed out during the show and many top stars picked up the trophy. The list of winners will be shared at the end of this WWE NXT results and grades piece.
This NXT also had a lot of wrestling over the two hours and here is all that took place on the show.
WWE again paid tribute to Luke Harper before staring off with Isaiah Swerve Scott taking on the huge Bronson Reed.
Scott seemed confident going into the match but Reed got the win in the end.
Reed beats Scott
Grade C
This match just didn’t seem to click for some reason. Reed getting the win was great after his return but Scott deserves more and it was a surprise he was set up against the bigger man.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic would be returning next week and The Grizzled Young Veterans took on Fandango in the next match.
While Breezango looked good in some segments, it were the Veterans who got the win. It was also announced that after winning a few awards, Roderick Strong and Adam Cole would team up for the Dusty Rhodes Classic.
Veterans beat Breezango
Grade B
This was a great match between the two teams and both had their chances of winning it.. It will be interesting to see how the teams perform in the Classic, especially with the UE having a team too.
NXT confirmed that the hard training Xia Li and Boa would be back on the show next week.
Valentina Feroz took on Mercedes Martinez in the next match and it was the former Retribution member who got the win.
Martinez then called out every woman from NXT and challenged them.
Martinez beats Feroz
Grade C
Squash matches aren’t all that great but Martinez coming back is for NXT and it will be interesting to see who is next for her.
Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong continued their rivalry on NXT with Dunne having the upper hand early on.
Both stars, however, put on a show and it was Dunne who got the win in the end.
Dunne beats Strong
Grade A
This was an excellent match as both stars put on a show and it was great to see Dunne getting the win.
He could face Finn Balor for the title but it is to be seen what happens next with the Bruiserweight.
O’Reilly and Balor won the match of the year and Balor took the trophy before being caught up by Dunne who wanted his title.
Balor and O’Reilly met in the ring and the pair promised to put on a show for the title too.
Karrion Kross interrupted and said the winner would be dealt with but Damian Priest fought hard and the pair went through a table.
Grade A
This was a perfect set up for Balor vs O’Reilly but it was also fun to see Priest and Kross go crazy at each other.
Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez cut promos before their clash.
Lucha House Party made a surprise move on NXT and wanted to battle Legado del Fantasma.
While LHP came from Raw, they still got the win and Dexter Lumis added that Santos Escobar would face Gran Metalik at New Year’s Evil.
Party beats Fantasma
Grade B
This was quite a surprise seeing LHP come down to NXT. They have been wasted on Raw and hopefully, they can get to shine on the Black and Gold brand.
Johnny Gargano was scared coming into this clash as he saw a black cat and even busted a mirror before taking on Leon Ruff.
Ruff actually put on a good how but it was Gargano who got the win with a bit of luck.
Gargano beats Ruff
Grade A
The action in the match was great and it again showcased how great Ruff is in the ring. Gargano getting over his bad luck was also great and he will need to be at his best against some other challengers.
