WWE NXT Results and Grades: NXT was back on its weekly slot after an incredible WarGames which had some fantastic matches.
Raquel Gonzalez had impressed at WarGames and was to face Ember Moon in the main event. There were some other big clashes too but we start this WWE NXT results and grades pieces with the champion, Finn Balor.
The champion, Finn Balor was accosted in the ring by Pete Dunne before Kyle O’Reilly made his way to the ring too.
Damien Priest also want a shot before Balor said he would defend his title at NXT New Year’s Evil and William Regal would decide who he faces.
Scarlett Bordeaux then came out to say that Karrion Kross was coming soon, and Balor was ready to accept that challenge.
Grade D
This didn’t really hit the mark as it would have made sense for Regal to have made an announcement or the challengers to come out first rather than Balor.
Nevertheless, Kross coming back should be great.
Isaiah Swerve Scott was back in action as he took on the rising Jake Atlas.
While Scott started off well but it was Atlas that got the win. Scott also refused to shake the hand of Atlas after the match.
Atlas beats Swerve
Grade C
Swerve and Atlas deserved more minutes on the show and that was one reason why the grade was so low for this battle.
Imperium, Grizzled Young Veterans and Ever-Rise all had a battle after being involved for a while.
However, there was a lot of madness in this triple threat tag match as the Veterans picked up the win.
Veterans beat Ever-Rise and Imperium
Grade B
The three made some great moves in the ring and this seems to be a great rivalry for WWE to build, for now.
Before this match, Candice LeRae, Bobby Fish and Dakota Kai all spoke after being injured at WarGames. Toni Storm was also attacked by Io Shirai and Ember Moon.
Tommaso Ciampa then took on Cameron Grimes since the Technical Savage just would not shut up. Grimes put up a good fight but it was Ciampa who got the win.
Thatcher again made his presence and stared at Ciampa before Grimes was attacked.
Ciampa beats Grimes
Grade B
Ciampa vs Grimes went off well but it will be interesting to see how Ciampa vs Thatcher plays out in the coming months.
Xia Li and Boa were training hard before Johnny Gargano and LeRae celebrated their wins at WarGames.
Gargano and his new partner, Austin Theory, then said they wouldn’t mind facing Priest and Ruff.
Priest was mocking Gargano but was destroyed by Kross.
Pete Dunne took on Killian Dain after a brawl outside of the ring. Drake Maverick tried his best to ensure no one interfered in the match but was taken out.
Dain made the save but ended up losing the clash.
Dunne beats Dain
Grade B
Dain looked great in the ring and Dunne was excellent too. Dunne looks like a serious contender for the main title and he could get that shot soon.
Raquel Gonzalez took on Moon in the main event of the show and both women gave it their all.
There were a ton of risky spots and huge moves but it was Gonzalez who got the win after a few close calls.
Gonzalez beats Moon
Grade A
Storm came out to taunt Moon before Rhea Ripley and Gonzalez had a face off.
Gonzalez looked excellent in this match and she too seems ready for a title shot. This was possibly her best match on NXT and things look great for her.
