NXT Results, Winners, Grades: Apollo Crews locks horns with Grayson Waller while Pretty Deadly and Lash Legend will team up to take on the team of Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, and Fallon Henley on the final NXT before NXT World Collide.
Apollo Crews vs Grayson Waller
Apollo Crews dominated the initial proceedings. He delivered a big backdrop across the ring. The former Intercontinental Champion held Waller up for quite some time before delivering a vertical suplex.
Crews delivered a senton from the apron for a nearfall. Waller took control of the match after poking Crews in the eye. After a commercial break, Waller dominated the match.
Crews hit a blockbuster off the second rope. Waller kicked out at 2. Crews pressed Waller in the air but the Australian star escaped outside the ring and returned with a Stunner to pick up the win.
Winner – Grayson Waller
Grade – B
In the replays, we saw how Waller went for Crews’ eye once again while delivering the Stunner.
Diamond Mine are backstage. Roderick Strong enters the scene and tries to win back their trust but Julius Creed was having none of it. Damon Kemp also doesn’t trust Strong. Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley appeared and asked them to get their act together. Nile said that she and Paxley are focusing on the tag titles. The Creed Brothers get back to working out.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker is in the locker room as Finn Balor walks in. Balor said that he has defeated guys double his size so Bron shouldn’t underestimate Tyler Bate. He tapped Bron on the chest before leaving.
Katana Chance and Kayden Carter (c) vs Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley
Nile sent Chance face-first into the mat. Paxley got the tag and hit a double-team maneuver on Carter. Paxley hit a corkscrew splash for a nearfall.
Carter delivered a dropkick for a 2 count. Gigi Dolin confronted Nile at ringside while Paxley took control of proceedings against Carter.
In the end, Jayne jumped on the apron to distract Paxley. Dolin joined forces with Jayne and tried to take out Nile but that didn’t work out. Chance hit a 450 splash while Carter held Paxley for the double team. Carter prevented Nile from returning to the ring as Chance covered Paxley for the win.
Winners – Kayden Carter and Katana Chance
Grade – A
After the match, Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop appeared and challenged Chance and Carter for the tag titles at NXT World Collide. Carter and Chance accepted the challenge.
Schism cuts a promo inside the ring
Joe Gacy said that Rib Fowler and Jagger Reid scored a victory against Legado del Fantasma for everybody who stands in harmony. He gave them a couple of smiley face pins to recognize their performance.
The Dyad thanked Gacy for his teachings. Gacy kept a seat reserved for Cameron Grimes and he wanted the former NXT North American Champion to join the Schism tree.
Grimes came to the ring. He said that he did not come here to join the celebration. He came to answer Gacy’s call of joining Schism. Grimes said that he doesn’t need Gacy as he can go to the moon by himself. Gacy said that Grimes wears a mask that hides all his insecurities.
Gacy asked Grimes to admit that he is lonely. Grimes reiterated that he doesn’t need anyone and that before things get out of control, he would leave the ring. Gacy said that it was another night without a championship for Grimes and another night without a father. This infuriated Grimes and he took out The Dyad but Gacy hugged him. The Dyad returned to the ring but Gacy stopped them from attacking as Grimes left the ring.
Lash Legend and Pretty Deadly vs Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen
Lash Legend used her power to take control of the match but Henly came back strongly to rattle her nemesis. Legend got the tag but Briggs, Jensen, and Henley combined well to clear the ring as we went into a commercial break.
Briggs was being dominated by Pretty Deadly as the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions made rapid tags to wear him down. Kit Wilson hit a few uppercuts and slaps to the back of the head and followed it up with a sleeper hold. After taking some more beatdown, Briggs tagged in Jensen who was all pumped up. He drove Elton Prince face-first with a bulldog
Gallus came out to the ringside as Briggs attacked them. After a cheap shot from Joe Coffy on Jensen, Wilson got the roll-up for the pinfall.
Winners – Pretty Deadly and Lash Legend
Grade – B
Charley Dempsey vs Andre Chase
Andre Chase was all pumped up for this encounter as he didn’t give Dempsey an inch. Chase delivered a Side effect but Dempsey applied a submission hold. Bodhi Hayward scream some words of encouragement for Chase but Dempsey didn’t like it.
The second-generation star – Charlie Dempsey went outside the ring and took out Hayward. Upon returning to the ring, Chase rolled him up for the 3 count.
Winner – Andre Chase
Grade – C
Kiana James vs Zoey Stark
Kiana James dominated the initial moments of the match. However, Stark got back with her unique offensive maneuvers.
James hit a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Stark hit back with the GTS to pick up the victory.
After the match, James tried to blindside Stark but Nikkita Lyons came out of nowhere to intercept her and force her to retreat.
Winner – Zoey Stark
Grade – C
Gallus vs Diamond Mine
Julius Creed delivered a suplex to Joe Coffy and made the tag to Brutus. Moments later we had a face-off between Wolfgang and Damon Kemp. The latter pushed Wolfgang to his corner and tagged in Brutus. Diamond Mine came into the ring and cleared the ring as Gallus regrouped outside the ring.
Julius showed some great strength and athleticism to deliver a bodyslam on Joe Coffy. Mark Coffy took out Julius on the outside and this allowed Joe to take control of the match.
Wolfgang got the tag in and continued wearing down Julius. The Diamond Mine member fought off his opponents in their corner and made the tag to Kemp. A fired-up Kemp dominated proceedings. However, Roderick Strong came out to the ringside, and Kemp got distracted. After Kemp got back into the ring, Coffy delivered a vicious clothesline to pick up the win.
Winners – Gallus
Grade – B
After the match, Pretty Deadly came out to attack Diamond Mine. Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs also made their way out to the ring, as the brawl continued.
Ciampa met Bron Breakker in the locker room and said that the pressure he is feeling is normal. Ciampa asked Breakker to embrace it at NXT World Collide. After some more words of encouragement, the Blackheart left the scene.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams make their way to the ring
Trick Williams said that every week, Hayes puts in banger after banger after banger, yet he is not on NXT Worlds Collide. Hayes said that he unified the championship 8 months ago.
Hayes said that he will put the ball in his court and also said that he will not defend his title at NXT World Collide. Ricochet came out to a huge ovation.
Ricochet thanked the fans and said that he is glad to be back. The former Intercontinental Champion asked Hayes and Williams to shut up for five seconds. He wanted to add some SmackDown to NXT World Collide.
Hayes said that there is no room for both of them. Ricochet said that nobody remembers Hayes’ title defenses. Ricochet challenged Hayes for the title at NXT World Collide. Williams tried to blindside Ricochet but that didn’t work. Ricochet took out both Hayes and Williams to stand tall as the show came to an end.
