WWE NXT Results, winners, and grades: NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes and Solo Sikoa will team up to face Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. Bron Breakker will also return on this week’s episode of NXT 2.0.

Let’s start with the NXT results for 17 May:

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams versus Cameron Grimes and Solo Sikoa

Grimes delivered a big boot to Williams and Sikoa flattened hum with a senton to start the match. The NXT North American Champion kept wearing down Williams until Hayes made the tag which Grimes had not seen. This allowed the heels to get back into the match momentarily but Grimes used his quickness to tag in his partner.

Sikoa was in total control of Williams until Grimes managed to hit him with a kick to the back of the head with the referee’s back turned. Williams followed up with a neckbreaker as went into a commercial break. After returning from the break, Sikoa was being dominated by the heel duo.

Sikoa, however, managed to make the tag after taking a decent amount of beating. Grimes took out Hayes with a crossbody and as he seemed to finish the match, Sikoa made the tag which shocked Grimes. In the end, Sikoa pinned Hayes after delivering a frog splash to win the match.

Winner – Cameron Grimes and Solo Sikoa

Grade – B

Pretty Deadly were asked backstage, to comment on their opponents, The Creed Brothers for In Your House. They said they beat the Diamond Mine members to win the NXT Tag Team Championships so they are not afraid to face them again.

Lash Legend versus Tatum Paxley – NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament first-round match

Tatum Paxley cut an inset promo about how Lash Legend might be bigger, but she’s going to win.

Legend took out Paxley with an elbow as the match started. Paxley came back with a couple of dropkicks. Legend focused her attack on Paxley’s leg as she softened it up after pulling it into the ring post.

Paxley kept on fighting as she delivered a suplex and followed up with a moonsault. The veteran, however, had the last laugh as she delivered a big boot to book her spot in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Winner – Lash Legend

Grade – C

Tony D’Angelo cut a promo backstage with his stable and said he will take care of the job for the night against Santos Escobar all by himself.

Bron Breakker returns

Duke Hudson was being interviewed backstage. He said he took a few weeks off to clear his mind. However, the NXT Champion interrupted Hudson and made his way to the ring.

Breakker said the last time the WWE Universe saw him was when Joe Gacy dumped him in a field like some trash. Breakker said after what Gacy has done to him, he is not only coming to beat him, but he will make him unconscious. Gacy appeared on a podium with his two druids and said he is not someone who holds a grudge.

He challenged Breakker to another one-on-one match at In Your House and the NXT Champion accepted instantly. Gacy added a stipulation saying that if Breakker loses control of his emotions and gets disqualified, he will lose the title. Breakker accepted once again.

In a backstage segment, Indi Hartwell said she is coming for Mandy Rose after the NXT Women’s Champion made fun of her last week.

Wes Lee is interviewed and claims that Xyon Quinn is ducking him. They need to settle things, whether it’s next week, next month, or 2030.

Nathan Frazer appeared and said that Lee wants a fight so maybe they could go head-to-head later on in the show. Lee said he did not want to take out his anger on him but Frazer was up for the challenge. The match was made official a few minutes later.

The Creed Brothers versus The Viking Raiders

Julius took out Erik and Ivar initially. However, the veterans flattened out Julius with heavy blows. Julius was being worn down by the Raiders until he managed to tag his brother. Brutus was on fire after getting the tag as he took out Erik inside the ring and attacked Ivar as well, who was on the ring apron. Brutus went up on the top rope and delivered a Brutusball to take out both Erik and Ivar outside the ring.

We went into a commercial break. Upon returning, Julius was all over Erik in the middle of the ring. Erik managed to fight out of the predicament and tagged in his partner. Ivar laid out Julius before tagging in Erik. The Creed Brothers double-teamed to take out Erik. The Raiders made a few quick tags. Erik dropped Brutus with a German Suplex but Julius hit the former with a German Suplex of his own.

Julius rolled up Ivar after the latter mixed a Frog Splash but Erik broke the pin with a Punt kick. Both teams had a standoff in the middle of the ring. A slugfest ensued. Roderick Strong entered the ring to give another assist to the Creed Brothers but Julius pushed him outside the ring.

Julius, however, got distracted momentarily and the former Raw Tag Team Champions took advantage and won the thrilling match.

Winner – The Viking Raiders

Grade – A

Escobar cut a promo backstage. He said D’Angelo wants to be like him but there can be only one Escobar. Escobar said he will also come to the ring alone like D’Angelo for their match later in the night.

Tiffany Stratton met Grayson Waller backstage. She told Waller to take care of the Andre Chase situation as she felt it is irritating. Waller said he will take care of Chase right away and asked Stratton to watch him.

Bron Breakker versus Duke Hudson next week

Bron Breakker was interviewed as he was making his way out of the arena. He was asked whether he played into the hands of Gacy by accepting the heel’s challenge. Hudson interrupted the interview and said he should not disrespect him ever again. The NXT Champion wanted to go back inside the arena and settle the matter in the ring. Hudson agreed to face Breakker but next week.

Andre Chase versus Grayson Waller

Waller dominated the match from the get-go. He had answers for whatever Chase threw at him. Chase took some time to muster some offense as he delivered a Russian leg sweep.

Sarray was in the crowd cheering Chase on. Waller rushed in to attack Chase but the latter launched him outside. However, the Australian star landed on Bodhi Hayward. Chase went to check on Hayward and as he returned back into the ring, Waller hit him with the rolling Stunner to get the pinfall victory.

Winner – Grayson Waller

Grade – B

Toxic Attraction met in the Toxic Lounge. They were frustrated as other women on the roster were not paying them respect. Mandy Rose said they will make everyone respect them and it will start with Indi Hartwell.

Kiana James versus Roxanne Perez – NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament first-round match

The crowd was firmly behind Perez in this match. A series of arm drags from Perez followed by a dropkick rattled James.

James, however, began to unleash on Perez after delivering some heavy blows. James locked in a Boston Crab but Perez quickly counted into a roll-up for a two count.

Perez managed to fight back with a hurricanrana. She dropped James with a Russian Leg sweep. James was not giving up easily as she nailed a sidewalk slam. In the end, Perez won the match after dropping James to progress into the semi-finals.

Winner – Roxanne Perez

Grade – B

Roxanne Perez was being interviewed backstage when Cora Jade appeared to congratulate her. Elektra Lopez appeared and said Perez is going to lose next week to Lash Legend. She said Jade is equally happy irrespective of whether she wins a match or loses. Jade asked Lopez about what her problem was and the latter replied that either of Perez and Jade was her problem

Nathan Frazer versus Wes Lee

Both high-flyers began the match with great speed. Lee got up on the top rope but was met by Frazer with a lethal kick. Frazer attempted a superplex but Lee countered into a cover for a near fall.

Frazer nailed a Superkick and was looking to end the match when Von Wagner appeared out of nowhere and laid him out with a big boot. Lee tried to chop the big man down but Wagner picked him up and dropped him from inside the ring into the announce desk.

Winner – Nathan Frazer should be the winner by DQ as he was attacked first by Von Wagner.

Grade – A

Santos Escobar versus Tony D’Angelo

The WWE Universe was divided for this match. D’Angelo was the first one to take control of the match as he dropped Escobar with a neckbreaker. D’Angelo ripped away at the face of Escobar.

Escobar finally managed to muster some offense as he delivered an enzuigiri to send D’Angelo outside the ring. As Escobar was about to launch himself outside the ring, D’Angelo stopped him in his tracks with a huge right hand.

After we returned from a commercial break, D’Angelo was all over Escobar. The Don of NXT was hitting some heavy blows to wear down Escobar. The Mexican, however, fought back with an enzuigiri and launched himself outside the ring to knock D’Angelo off his feet. Escobar followed up with a beautiful dropkick and began to dominate D’Angelo. Escobar focused his attack on the injured left shoulder of D’Angelo. D’Angelo managed to turn things around with three belly-to-belly suplexes.

Escobar dropped D’Angelo with a hurricanrana from the top rope and the crowd gave a huge pop for the jaw-dropping maneuver.

Towards the closing stages of the match, all hell broke loose as Legado Del Fantasma and Troy Donovan and Channing Lauren brawled at ringside. The referee was distracted and Escobar used the opportunity to punch D’Angelo with brass knuckles to pick up an important victory.

Winner – Santos Escobar

Grade – A

Joe Gacy cut a promo where he spoke about predicting Bron Breakker’s each and every move and the uncontrollable rage inside of him. He went on to say that the rage inside the NXT Champion will be the cause behind his loss via disqualification at NXT In Your House. With this segment, the show came to an end.
