WWE NXT results, winners, grades and reaction: Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were also in action in this week’s NXT
WWE NXT results, winners, grades and reaction: This was a night where we would learn who Rhea Ripley’s opponent would be for the NXT Women’s Championship.
However, the evening started with talk of another title, the NXT North American Championship. Keith Lee became the No.1 contender and came out to speak about his chances.
The Limitless One put The Undisputed Era on notice and claimed he would beat Roderick Strong.
The Era came out and pummelled Lee, even put his ankle in a steel chair and stomped on it. Fortunately, Tommaso Ciampa came out to save the day.
Lee hobbled off but seems set to continue his fight against The Era at World’s Collide.

Grade B
Lee might be the hottest property on NXT right now and it was strange he didn’t get a match.
Nevertheless, this segment proved that The Era are still a top heel faction and Lee will have to be at his best if he wants to beat Strong.
Dunne and Riddle impress
The Dusty Rhodes classic was next on the agenda as Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle teamed up to face Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster.
Dunne and Riddle might be an odd pairing, however, they looked great in this clash. Both teams had incredible chemistry and this was a great fight.

Riddle and Dunne combined well and The Broserweights (as they are called now) won the clash.
Dunne and Riddle beat Webster and Andrews
Grade A
Both teams looked great and it was a surprise seeing the chemistry between Dunne and Riddle.
Great things could be in store for the pair, and the former UK champs, Webster and Andrews looked fantastic again.
Gargano and Ciampa team up
Ciampa was next to call out The Era, Adam Cole in particular, as he wanted the NXT title.
However, The Era came out to have a fight with Ciampa. The former champion was saved by Johnny Gargano as the pair cleaned out the heel faction.
You love to see it. #DIY. #WWENXT @JohnnyGargano @NXTCiampa pic.twitter.com/f5OfAomwUh

Grade C
This didn’t really make any sense given that Gargano is involved with Finn Balor. Ciampa and his former tag team could go against The Era, but that would undo all the work related to The Demon Balor.
Time Splitters return
The hype ahead of this Dusty Rhodes classic match was about Alex Shelley reuniting with Kushida.
They were up against The Grizzled Young Veterans from NXT UK, and this was a great fight too.
Shelley and Kushida looked great as a pair, but the former TNA star did look a little slow in some of the bits.

However, it was the NXT UK pair that pulled off a shock win and even refused to shake hands with the Time Splitters after the match.
Young Veterans beat Kushida and Shelley
Grade B
This was a surprising result given how much hype was there regarding Shelley joining WWE.
However, James Drake and Zack Gibson looked great again and were worthy winners in the end.
Swerve gets his groove on
Isaiah Scott took on Lio Rush and Tyler Breeze in a triple threat match for a place in the Fatal-4-Way for the NXT Cruiserweight crown.

The champion, Angel Garza, was at ringside scouting his opponents and for a while, it seemed the former holder of the belt, Rush, was going to pick up the victory.
However, Scott continued his upward momentum in WWE and he hit Breeze with the JML Driver to pick up the win.
Scott beats Breeze and Rush
Grade B
Rush would have been the favourite to resume his rivalry with Garza, so it was interesting that WWE gave Scott the win.
Breeze also looked good in this match and his reinvention at NXT is gathering pace.
Women’s Battle Royal to challenge Ripley
There were some familiar faces and new ones in this clash with Kacy Catanzaro making her return.
Mercedes Martinez also was part of the match after signing for the Performance Center a few days back.
There were some crazy moments in the clash with Io Shirai and Bianca Belair doing their bit. Shayna Baszler was the surprise final entrant in the match and was almost eliminated by Martinez.
In the end, it was Belair who won the match after a huge fight with Shirai.
EXCLUSIVE: She's not gonna say she told you so but…. she kinda TOLD YOU SO. @BiancaBelairWWE is not one to play with. #WWENXT #NXTTakeOver pic.twitter.com/Wk8iuguOx8

Belair wins Battle Royal
Grade A
Belair had been on an up in recent weeks and it was a surprise that Baszler wasn’t given a shot at Ripley.
