Adam Pearce warns Bobby Lashley ahead of Drew McIntyre vs Kofi Kingston on next week’s WWE RAW
The 24th May 2021 episode of RAW saw Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre take on each other for the right to be the No.1 contender against Bobby Lashley.
Kingston has recently been added to the title picture after Braun Strowman’s short inclusion seemed to fizzle out after WWE WrestleMania Backlash.
But the match failed to reach a conclusion due to Lashley interfering. This led to ‘The Chosen One’ and Kofi to storm backstage and confront Adam Pearce.
Pearce then stated that the match would be held again on next week’s RAW and added an extra stipulation to the match.
He mentioned that if either of the Hurt Business members, Lashley or MVP, were to interfere then, they would be suspended for 90 days without pay from WWE.
The WWE official then took to his Twitter account after RAW to confirm this news and warn Lashley and MVP against interfering again.
This would be a great match for the WWE Universe to match as McIntyre and Kofi go head-to-head in a singles match for the first time in 8 years. The two collaborated to beat Lashley last week but must set their friendship aside as a title shot is now on the line.
And the winner gets to challenge Lashley for the title at Hell in a Cell in a month’s time. It is tough to decide who we want to win here.
Both deserve that title shot. Drew McIntyre has come up short multiple times recently and it feels like WWE is building towards an epic title win for McIntyre.
Kingston, on the other hand, did not have a rematch after he lost the championship to Brock Lesnar. This could be his chance to reign supreme again; but it won’t be easy, with two giants in McIntyre and Lashley standing in his way.
