WWE Raw Preview: There are some big matches set for Monday Night Raw as a new champion defends his title.
Apollo Crews shocked the WWE Universe by defeating Andrade and winning the US Championship. It was an incredible story for the high-flyer, but he will be in action defending his title too.
However, there is a huge retirement planned for a top star from Seth Rollins. The Messiah has a target set in mind and this is where we start this WWE Raw preview.
Mysterio retires?
Rollins had claimed last week that he has a retirement party for Rey Mysterio set. The Messiah had brutally attacked Mysterio’s eye a couple of weeks back, and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
Mysterio certainly won’t like such a segment, and the high-flyer could decide to take matters into his own hand. However, Rollins attacked him in the past and a similar action could result in a retirement.
Crews to defend his title
Crews will also be in action as he defends the US title. The new champion, however, can choose his opponent and that should make for an interesting take.
Does Crews take the easy route and keep the crown or will he challenge one of the best on the roster?
Champion vs Champion
Charlotte Flair was unable to become the No.1 contender for the Raw Women’s title. However, the NXT Champion can still leave a mark on Raw champ Asuka this week. Charlotte vs Asuka should be an incredible fight, and the Queen can show just how good she is.
Further, Nia Jax could have a role to play in all this. She is the No.1 contender for the Raw title, and she could destroy either Asuka or even Charlotte.
Rollins isn’t done
Apart from the retirement party, Rollins will be in action on Raw. He takes on Aleister Black, another person that was on the receiving end from an attack by Rollins’ disciples.
Black isn’t someone to take lightly, but there could be some fireworks with Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory beside Rollins.
