WWE Raw Preview: Raw comes off a decent enough PPV in Backlash that had some big matches.
The talk of the town was Randy Orton and Edge clashing for a second time this year. It was Orton who won the “Greatest Wrestling Match” of all time, but Edge put up a spirited fight.
Drew McIntyre also kept hold of his WWE title, thanks to some inadvertent help from Lana, but we will look into that later.
First, we start off this WWE Raw Preview with the Messiah and his plans for two people.
Rollins invites Mysterio and his son
Seth Rollins seemed to have lost his head when he injured Rey Mysterio’s eye a few weeks back. The Messiah claimed it was for the greater good, something that Mysterio didn’t understand.
Rollins has called out Mysterio and his son, Dominick, again to explain his actions. The decision to hold a Mysterio retirement party didn’t work earlier and it will be interesting to see what happens between the three on this week’s Raw.
Lana and Lashley friction
Bobby Lashley looked in great touch as he attacked McIntyre before their match at Backlash. He also hit the champ with a couple of spears and could have won the match and the title.
However, Lana came out to try and help her husband but she ended up falling into MVP and McIntyre took advantage.
Lashley wasn’t pleased one bit by the actions of his wife, and he ignored her after the match. MVP was shocked as to how his client didn’t win, and there could be more sparks between Lana and Lashley on Raw.
What next for Asuka?
We might not be done between Asuka and Nia Jax. The pair met as Asuka defended her Raw Woman’s title but the match ended in a double count-out. Asuka came up with a great game-plan to neutralize Jax but she didn’t win the match.
She didn’t lose it either and we could hear more from Jax after her missed opportunity.
Andrade and Garza bust up?
Andrade also lost to Apollo Crews as he tried to reclaim his United States title. However, there were more problems between Andrade and Angel Garza with Zelina Vega coming up to cool things down.
The pair have not seen eye to eye for a while, and there could be more problems with Vega to deal with on Raw.
They already kicked out Austin Theory recently and Vega has to use all her power to keep her team together.
