WWE Raw preview: The festive season is here and after a great SmackDown holiday edition it will be interesting to see how Raw fares.
The promotion confirmed one big match on Raw. Rey Mysterio will face Seth Rollins for the United States title.
Rollins had warned last week about a surprise later on and attacked Mysterio with the same pipe that the high-flyer gave to Kevin Owens.
AOP were also in on the attack, and it will be interesting to see if Rollins picks up his first title after joining forces with the tag team.
Last week, Randy Orton was up against AJ Styles but the OC came down to wreak havoc. However, The Viking Raiders also came to try and save The Viper from a beating.
This week’s Raw sees Orton team up with the Raiders to face the OC (all three of them). The Viper is a bit of a loner and doesn’t really do tag team matches all that well, but he could be looking for more revenge from Styles and co.
Lana forced Lashley to propose to her last week, and she said yes. The rehearsed proposal did have some hitches and the date for the wedding is yet to be set.
Rusev wasn’t on Raw in that show, but will the Bulgarian Brute have something to say about his ex-wife getting married so soon?
Asuka was impressive in her fight against NXT star Deonna Purrazzo last week. She and Kairi Sane held onto the WWE Women’s tag belts at TLC, but there could be something bigger coming Asuka’s way.
Becky Lynch gave an interview claiming that she wants to get the better of Asuka.
The Man against the Empress of Tomorrow at Royal Rumble would be a big draw, and we could see more regarding this rivalry on Monday.
