WWE RAW episode on May 9, 2022, will air from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Let us know about the preview, match card, Predictions, Venue and Timing.
Tonight’s WWE Raw will feature the fallout from the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view last night in Providence, Rhode Island. Roman Reigns will be featuring on the red brand with control of both the titles. As Bianca Belair didn’t feature at the Backlash, she will indeed be featuring tonight as we gear up now for Hell in a Cell for next month.
1. Seth Rollins to pick Cody Rhodes again?
Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins pulled off a perfect bout to set WrestleMania Backlash on fire. Even though The Visionary came very close to winning the bout but The American Nightmare picked up the victory with a sneaky roll-up pin to finish one of the best matches in the current time.
However, it can be said that they are not done yet, as we can expect them to appear again to build up for a third and final bout at Hell in a Cell. Rollins has been trying hard to get that one victory over Rhodes since WrestleMania 38.
2. Edge introduces Judgement Day to RAW
Last night at WrestleMania, Backlash saw Damian Priest attempt to interfere despite the ban from ringside. Still, AJ Styles’ new mate Finn Balor ensured that The Archer of Infamy doesn’t have the same impact as he did at WrestleMania 38. However, a mysterious masked figure shoved Styles from the top of the turnbuckle, which eventually resulted in assisting Edge in winning the bout with submission. This masked figure turned out to be Rhea Ripley.
Now since Ripley is a member of Judgement Day, tonight’s RAW will feature all of them as they will introduce this new stable and is likely to get a massive push from now on.
3. Mustafa Ali’s US Championship pursuits
Last week, Mustafa Ali was on the verge of earning a shot at the United States Championship title. However, it was later revealed that he would have to win a handicap match against The Miz and Theory.
But the numbers game caught up to him as The A-Lister would get his revenge on Ali, who said some harsh words for the former WWE Champion. But now, after the WrestleMania Backlash, we could see if Ali, Ciampa, and The Miz got involved in the US title picture. But, unfortunately, we will have to wait and watch for tonight’s RAW.
4. Becky Lynch and Asuka continue their rivalry on RAW
Last week Asuka teamed up with Liv Morgan and RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair against Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley and Sonya Deville, which ended up with Asuka’s team winning it.
Many assumed that Becks returned after WrestleMania after Big Time and that she would go after Bianca Belair. Still, Asuka made her return out of nowhere after a long gap of 10 months to kick start their feud. Will Lynch’s manager pull one over the Japanese WWE Grand Slam Champion? We find out tonight on RAW.
5. What’s next for Bianca Belair?
Bianca Belair was not on the cards of WrestleMania Backlash, which was quite a surprise as she is a current champion. Hopefully, that won’t be the case at Hell in a Cell.
Belair doesn’t have any challenger, but we could see a new contender emerge tonight on RAW.
