WWE Raw saw a small ratings boost after its latest episode thanks to Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss
WWE Raw has been reeling behind in the ratings war with SmackDown ruling the roost. The promotion has tried a lot of things in recent months but to no avail.
The short-lived Raw Underground segment has been completely forgotten. WWE even brought in a ton of legends recently, which also led to a slight boost.
This week, the big talking point was Randy Orton making his return after being burned by Alexa Bliss.
Bliss also had a major segment while Drew McIntyre was going to speak despite contracting Covid-19.
There also were some big matches for a place in the Royal Rumble match with Ricochet taking on AJ Styles.
Charlotte Flair beats Peyton Royce
Mace beats Xavier Woods
Shayna Baszler beats Mandy Rose
AJ Styles beats Ricochet
Hurt Business beats Riddle and Lucha House Party
Jeff Hardy beats Jaxson Ryker
Alexa Bliss beats Asuka
Showbuzz Daily (h/t Wrestling News) confirmed that the ratings for this WWE Raw was slightly better than the previous outing.
This Raw brought in an average of 1.854million viewers. This viewership was up from last week which got in 1.819m over the three hours.
The first hour got in 1.991m viewers. The second and third got 1.875m and 1.697m, respectively. WWE Raw also got in decent numbers in the key 18-49 demography with 0.64, 0.61 and 0.56 in each of the three hours.
However, the numbers weren’t as high as some might have expected. WWE didn’t have any competition from ESPN regarding the NFL or college football.
Raw has been struggling in the ratings war for a while and this was another rather average outing for the Red brand.
