WWE Raw still continues to struggle with the ratings despite the Royal Rumble being a week away
The Royal Rumble is this Sunday and WWE Raw was keen on getting a ratings boost ahead of the big PPV.
There were some big matches on the show with Alexa Bliss taking on Asuka in a title clash. Randy Orton, whose face was burnt to a crisp by Bliss, also played a role in all this.
Charlotte and her father, Ric Flair, had problems with Lacey Evans adding fuel to the fire. Further, the Hurt Business went into self destruction mode as Riddle defeated three stars to set up a Royal Rumble clash with Bobby Lashley for the United States title.
There was a lot more action on WWE Raw but it didn’t really help out in the ratings.

Shayna Baszler, Lacey Evans and Nia Jax beat Charlotte, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke
Xavier Woods beats Slapjack
Sheamus beats John Morrison
Miz and John Morrison beat Sheamus
AJ Styles beats R-Truth
Riddle beats Shelton Benjamin, MVP and Cedric Alexander (Gauntlet match)
Asuka vs Alexa Bliss ends in a no contest
Showbuzz Daily (h/t Wrestling News) claimed that the ratings for the latest Raw episode was 1.819million viewers over the three hours.
This was slightly down from last week which saw a viewership of 1.854m. The first hour got in 1.904m, the second got 1.838m and the third got 1.716m.
The show was expected to get a boost before the Rumble. However, it didn’t play out that way. The 18.49 demo saw a dip as well with the first hour having 0.57, the second 0.51 and the third 0.47.
Raw has been struggling with the ratings for a while and even a Drew McIntyre-Goldberg intro couldn’t save the show.
The main event ended in a no contest, again, and that could have been one reason why the ratings dipped.
