WWE Raw results and grades: Drew McIntyre set out to right some wrong from last week when he was attacked by Seth Rollins after a match against Andrade.
The Monday Night Messiah is the next challenger for McIntyre, but the Scot had to take on another member of Zelina Vega’s team this week.
There were other Money in the Bank 2020 qualifying matches while a champion made their first appearance in the ring since WrestleMania.
WWE Raw was packed with a lot of action and here are the grades and results from this week’s show.
McIntyre gearing up for Money in the Bank
The WWE Champion came out and challenged Rollins to a title match at Money in the Bank.
However, he was interrupted by Vega and her team of heels Angel Garza and Austin Theory. McIntyre and Vega were involved in a verbal duel before Andrade attacked the champion from behind.
McIntyre didn’t allow Andrade to have too much offence as he claymored the US Champion. Garza was set to face the WWE Champion later on but neither did he or Theory go on to make the save for Andrade.

Grade B
It was surprising that Rollins wasn’t there to listen to McIntyre or even come out and speak to him. While the angle of attacking McIntyre behind his back was right, it was another surprise that none of his teammates went out to make the save.
Black Mass
Aleister Black has been on a tear in singles competitions and continued his good work. He was up against Theory for a slot in the Money in the Bank match.

Vega was by ring-side to shout instructions to Theory, and it worked for a while as the youngster got some decent hits on Black.
The Dutch Destroyer had to pull out all the stops and was finally able to connect with a third Black Mass to pick up the win.
Black beats Theory
Grade B
This was a great match as both stars put up their best. Theory actually looked good for the win during the clash, and it was only Black’s finisher that turned out to be the difference.
Baszler destroys another star
Shayna Baszler has been angry since her loss at WrestleMania. She destroyed Sarah Logan last week and did the same to Indi Hartwell this time around.
Baszler even damaged her opponent’s arm with the steel steps despite the referee stopping the fight and medical staff attending to Hartwell.
Baszler beats Hartwell
Grade A
WWE is doing all it can to rebuild Baszler after her loss to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. The former MMA star looks more dangerous than she did pre-WrestleMania, and it will be interesting to see what is the next step for her.
Ricochet and Cedric Alexander in action
Cedric Alexander and Ricochet seems to be doing extremely well as a pair, despite losing to the Viking Raiders last week.
They were up against Shane Torn and Brendan Vink and the match went as expected. Ricochet and Alexander dominated early before their rivals took control of the match.

A tag to Alexander saw the pair regain control and pick up the win thanks to a Recoil and a Lumbar Check on Vink.
Ricochet and Alexander beat Vink and Torn
Grade B
This was a decent match with all four men getting a chance to show off their skills. However, the question is what will WWE do with Alexander and Ricochet? They didn’t get a real push as singles competitors but are doing pretty well as a tag team now.
Rematch from last week
Nia Jax beat Kairi Sane for a place in the Money in the Bank match last week, and the pair were at it again.

Sane wanted revenge and started the better of the two with Asuka watching backstage. Jax used her physicality well and took control of the match, but Sane then targeted her opponent’s knees.
The Kabuki Warrior tried to hit an In-Sane Elbow and missed, which allowed Jax to pick up the win via a Samoan Drop.
Jax beats Sane
Grade B
At least this wasn’t a squash match as Sane put up a great fight and could have picked up the win. One mistake cost her the clash, and Jax was there to take advantage and continue her winning ways.
Apollo Crews vs MVP
The two stars had the chance to make it to the Money in the Bank match. Crews has been handed a revival in recent weeks and he started the match off with a bang.
However, MVP used his experience to bring down his high-flying opponent and even hit him with a camel clutch.
There were a few close calls between the pair before Crews hit a shooting star press and a powerbomb for an impressive win.
Crews beats MVP
Grade B
It was surprising to see MVP again get more minutes on WWE, but the former US Champion cut a great promo before the clash and looked good in the ring.
Crews getting the win is big for his career, and it will be interesting to see how he does at the Money in the Bank PPV.
Riott Squad is over
Ruby Riott came out to speak about how Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan were created by her. She faced off against Morgan in a one-on-one match, and there was a lot of chatter from Riott throughout the clash.
This match went back and forth too with Riott wanting Morgan to beg during the clash. However, Morgan surprised Riott by planting her opponent face-first for the win.
Morgan beats Riott
Grade B
At least there was a story to play around this rivalry. Riott looked good as she talked a lot of trash but it was a surprise to see Morgan given the win.
Mysterio vs Murphy
Rey Mysterio and Buddy Murphy faced off in another Money in the Bank qualifier match.
Murphy took on an early onslaught by the experienced Mysterio but targeted a finger and it seemed to have hurt Mysterio badly.

Murphy also avoided a 619 and almost got the win later with a brainbuster. Mysterio gathered himself and was able to hit the 619 and followed it up with a splash for the win.
Mysterio beats Murphy
Grade B
The match was excellent as we got to see what the pair can do together. Mysterio and Murphy have had great matches (not against each other) in the past, but it was surprising that Mysterio got the win over Murphy.
Murphy hasn’t been seen much since teaming up with Rollins, and hopefully, he gets more time on TV with the Monday Night Messiah.
Charlotte returns to action
Charlotte Flair was back on Raw as she faced off against Kayden Carter. This was the new NXT Champion’s first match since her WrestleMania win over Rhea Ripley, and she made light work of Carter.

— WWE (@WWE) April 21, 2020
Flair beats Carter
Grade B
Carter actually had a few shots at Flair but it was always going to be The Queen picking up the win.
Andrade in action
After getting kicked twice by McIntyre earlier in the evening, Andrade took on Akira Tozawa.
Tozawa was beaten by Vega’s trio last week, and he seemed to be getting the better of Andrade.
The US Champion seemed to be reeling from the effects of the night’s assault, and almost got the win.
However, going up the top rope wasn’t a good idea from Tozawa and Andrade took advantage and hit a Hammerlock DDT for the win.
Andrade beats Tozawa
Grade A
This was a match played well by both stars as Andrade seemed to sell a lot of problems from his clash against McIntyre.
Tozawa also looked great against the US Champion, but just could not get the win.
Belair shines
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins came out to join commentary as Bianca Belair took on Santana Garrett.

— WWE (@WWE) April 21, 2020
It was Belair that dominated most of the match with the Street Profits cheering her on wildly. She hit a split splash before a KOD for the win.
Easy 💰.

— WWE (@WWE) April 21, 2020
Belair beats Garrett
Grade C
We know how great Belair is thanks to her time on NXT, and she needs to fight tougher opponents. Squash matches don’t always work, and it was an OK match given that Belair dominated and showed what she is all about.
McIntyre answers
Garza had his work cut out for him against the WWE Champion McIntyre. He did have his teammates to help him out, but McIntyre took control of the match early on.
However, Garza then tried to chop the champion down to sign but McIntyre took out all three of the men outside the ring.

— WWE (@WWE) April 21, 2020
McIntyre beats Garza
Grade B
It was surprising that Vega’s team was so easily demolished by McIntyre, but this also puts him as a dominant champion.
Rollins now knows what he is going up against, and it should be an incredible clash between McIntyre and him at Money in the Bank.
