WWE Raw Results and Grades: The Horror Show at Extreme Rules certainly had some high points but it left many questions after the PPV.
Sasha Banks stealing Asuka’s title was one and WWE needed to fix that even though Bayley took over the ref’s job and counted her best friend.
Similarly, MVP declaring himself as the champion after Apollo Crews failed to pass a medical before their clash was another talking point.
Drew McIntyre defeating Dolph Ziggler was a highlight but the Scot might have been looking for a new rival.
However, we start with this WWE Raw results and grades piece with the Messiah.
No remorse at all
Seth Rollins took out Rey Mysterio’s eye but blamed the WWE Universe for making him do this. He wanted to look ahead at better things now but Aleister Black interrupted the Messiah.
A match was set up between the two with Murphy in Rollins’ corner. The Messiah could not dominate Black as he took some heavy hits and needed Murphy to take some shots too.
However, Rollins was just about able to get the win and the pair of heels then attacked Black and injured his arm.
Rollins beats Black
Grade A
Rollins was again at his best as he showed off how injured he was from the previous match. However, it was interesting to see that Black picked up a serious injury, and maybe, he could be out for a while to deal with other issues.
New 24/7 Champion finds a home
MVP and Bobby Lashley were backstage and R-Truth made some disparaging remarks on MVP taking the US title.
However, Shelton Benjamin then knocked out Truth to win the 24/7 title. Benjamin accepted entry into the Hurt Business and accompanied Lashley and MVP for a match
.
Cedric Alexander and Ricochet had a new partner in their clash as Mustafa Ali joined Raw. While the Hurt Business did their bit in the first half of the match, the babyfaces returned strong and it was Ali who got the win thanks to a 450.

Ali, Alexander and Ricochet beat Hurt Business
Grade B
It was great to see MVP and Lashley get another member in their team. Benjamin is underestimated and he should be a fantastic addition to MVP’s team. However, Ali coming onto Raw certainly is another bonus.
Teaming him with Ricochet and Alexander certainly is a good decision too and hopefully, we see more of the trio.
Captain Charisma backs the Big Show
Randy Orton first took to the stage and destroyed the Big Show on the microphone. The pair were to meet later in the evening for an unsanctioned match.
"I can't wait to watch @WWETheBigShow knock @RandyOrton's *** out cold."
Tell us how you really feel, @Christian4Peeps. #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/l5EOd2LCLn

Samoa Joe then interviewed Christian, who was attacked by Orton a few weeks back. Captain Charisma backed Big Show to destroy Orton but revealed he was still in some pain after Orton’s punt kick a while back.
Grade C
Orton on the microphone is always gold but there really was no need to push this match again. Christian also did a decent job on the interview but it felt a little like a filler segment rather than something important.
Riott wins
Bianca Belair was speaking backstage but was interrupted by the IIconics. However, she has backup with Ruby Riott and a match was set up between Riott and Royce.

— WWE Universe (@WWEUniverse) July 21, 2020
While Royce started off well, Riott got the better of the IIconics member and hit the Riott Kick for the win.
Riott beats Royce
Grade C
Riott winning a singles match was great but this rivalry with the IIconics isn’t cutting it. Bringing Belair into the mix also is a questionable decision and WWE really has to work to get this one going.
Street Profits take out rivals
Andrade and Angel Garza were speaking to Charly Caruso ahead of their match against the Street Profits. However, the tag champions took out Andrade and Garza while Zelina Vega tried to get them back up.
The Profits had a bit of the advantage after the attack and made it count. While Montez Ford was isolated at one point during the match, it was Angelo Dawkins who got the tag and turned things around before the pair won.

Profits beat Garza and Andrade
Grade B
The Profits are a fun tag team and attacking Andrade and Garza before the match should only increase the heat between them.
Andrade and Garza should get a rematch against the champions, and it will be interesting to see how that goes.
Clearing up the Raw title mess
Sasha Banks and Bayley came out to celebrate the former winning the Raw women’s title. However, Stephanie McMahon confirmed that Banks wasn’t the champion but could win the title next week.
A match between Kairi Sane and Bayley was set up next as Shayna Baszler watched from backstage.

Bayley and Sane exchanged a lot of moves but it was the Pirate Princess who got the win via a roll-up.
Sane beats Bayley
Grade B
This was an excellent match between the two stars and Sane looked great too. She has spoken about leaving WWE in a bit, but this was certainly a great performance and she might have a couple of quality matches left in her before leaving.
McIntyre vs Ziggler again
McIntyre came out and spoke about how Ziggler fell short of winning the title. However, the Show Off tried to take a cheap shot at the champion but was taken down again.
While McIntyre was looking for a SummerSlam opponent, Ziggler asked for another match. McIntyre accepted but he would share the stipulation of the match when he wanted to.
Grade C
McIntyre should be facing someone else and not Ziggler but it will be interesting to see what he uses as a stipulation.
Orton vs Show
The main event of the evening saw the unsanctioned match between Orton and Show take place.
Andrade and Garza attacked show during the match as Orton tried to take advantage. However, Erik and Ivar came out to level the heels.
Orton and Show continued fighting in the ring. Orton had to hit a couple of RKOs and followed it up with a punt kick for the win.
He told you. He told all of you.#WWERaw #UnsanctionedMatch @RandyOrton pic.twitter.com/wrFEOHFr31

Orton beats Show
Grade B
There wasn’t any surprises on who would get the win as Orton is clearly the man for Raw. It will now be interesting to see who his target is next after destroying the Show.
