WWE RAW Results, winners, and grades: Rey Mysterio gets his mask back
The last RAW before WrestleMania was exciting as is the case every year. However, the anticipated Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns brawl didn’t take place. The huge talking point was Bobby Lashley’s return as The Almighty challenged Omos to a match at The Show of Shows which was later made official too.
And, we start with the RAW results, winners, and grades.
Brock Lesnar kicked off the show as he made his entrance to a huge pop. A recap of what happened last week on SmackDown was shown. Lesnar said the loud-mouth Paul Heyman has been doing the talking for him over the last few weeks.
He admitted as well that he isn’t too good on the mic but the crowd helped him along. They did the “what” and Lesnar acknowledged them saying that “Austin is gonna be there too”.
Lesnar said that he’s in a great mood because, in 6 days, he will be able to get his hands on Reigns. He claimed that he will hold both titles over his shoulders when the match ends.
The first match of the night featured the A-lister Miz taking on Rey Mysterio. Last week, Miz removed the mask off Rey Mysterio. The Master of 619 was out for revenge. Miz cut a promo before Rey came out. He said that he gave Rey’s mask to Logan Paul.
He introduced Lucha Logan who came out to the ring wearing Rey’s mask. Miz said that he will rip off the mask that he would be wearing in this match but he was interrupted by the Mysterios. Dominik took out Miz but he was sent backstage by the referee for his efforts.
Logan Paul distracted Rey, who chased him on the outside. Miz took advantage of the distraction as he blindsided the masked Luchador with a DDT. Rey countered an attempted powerbomb from Miz into a roll-up for a victory. Dominik came from behind after the match and pushed Paul into the ring. He was set up for the double 619 but he managed to exit the ring to avoid disaster.
Rey pulled the mask off Paul’s face. Then, Miz landed up between the Mysterios. Dominik delivered a superkick and Rey set him up for the double 619 and this time the father-son duo connected even as Logan Paul stood on the outside watching his partner taking a beatdown. Dominik and Rey followed it up with respective frog splashes to end the segment as Paul looked on in fear of what’s to come at ‘Mania.
Result – Rey Mysterio beat The Miz

Another vignette of Veer Mahaan was shown once again stating that he’s coming to RAW after WrestleMania.
It was stated by the commentators that Seth Rollins had a meeting with Vince McMahon sometime prior to the show. A vignette was shown of Rollins struggling to find his WrestleMania moment.
Later on, it was shown that Rollins had entered Vince’s office 2 hours prior to the decided time of the meeting (9 am).
Rollins entered Vince’s cabin. He took a seat with his feet up on the table. Vince ordered him to put his feet down. Rollins predicted that Vince was going to fire him but Vince said he is not gonna fire him. The Chairman of WWE said that if he so badly wanted a WrestleMania moment, he should have come to him directly. Vince confirmed that Rollins is going to WrestleMania.
The Visionary wanted to know about his opponent but Vince said his opponent will be revealed when he’s in the ring at ‘Mania. A chuffed Rollins started dancing on McMahon’s table and the segment ended with the 76-year-old looking irritated at Rollins’ antics.
Omos came to the ring to face The Viking Raiders in a handicap match. Last week he won another handicap match beating Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez with ease. He wanted tougher competition. Tougher competition came in the form of the former RAW Tag Team Champions. A huge clothesline took out Eric and resulted in a count-out victory for the gigantic Omos. Ivar looked to take advantage but a huge kick took him out.
Omos was interviewed after the match and asked about any opponent that he wishes to face at WrestleMania. Before he could name somebody, Bobby Lashley’s music hit and he made his way to the ring for the first time since the Elimination Chamber PPV.
The crowd chanted for Bobby as he turned face. Omos pushed Bobby and looked to dominate the former WWE champion but the latter took him off his feet with a diving shoulder tackle. Bobby pointed to the WrestleMania sign and that only meant one thing. The two powerhouses will clash at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Result – Omos beat The Viking Raiders

Roman Reigns made his first appearance on RAW in six months. Reigns made his entrance to the ring with Paul Heyman and The Usos in tow. Reigns said that he was dominating RAW a few years ago until FOX came begging him to save SmackDown. The crowd began the “what” chants which irked Reigns. The worst was yet to come as they chanted “Suplex City”.
Reigns revealed what bothers him about Brock. He said that Lesnar busted him open at WrestleMania 34 in such a way that his children couldn’t recognize him. His wife didn’t want him in the business and looking at The Usos, he said that his family was disappointed in him. Reigns said that he took Lesnar’s advocate and upgraded him into a “wise man” and his rivalry with Brock will always be a personal affair.
Carmella and Queen Zelina were in the middle of a photoshoot backstage. Zelina said she was very happy that they were on the same page heading into WrestleMania. Natalya and Shayna Baszler appeared and demanded them to follow their lead for the 8-woman Tag Team match scheduled for just after the segment.
A vignette of The Steiner Brothers was shown, who were announced as the latest inductees in the Hall of Fame Class of 2022.
Natalya and Liv Morgan started off with Liv getting the better of the initial exchange. The fast-paced match saw the wrestlers randomly entering the ring and taking out their opponents like a tornado tag match. In our preview, we mentioned that this match could end up in a brawl with so many combustible elements in the ring at the same time.
Queen Zelina pulled Sasha Banks outside the ring and pummeled her into the barricade to take her out. Carmella took advantage of Banks inside the ring keeping the Boss away from her team. Carmella tagged Shayna Baszler, who tagged Natalya and delivered the Hart Attack but Zelina tried to steal the pin. A vignette of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s best moments in WWE was shown with one of his biggest rivals back in the day, The Rock said great things about him. After the video ended, Owens was seen in the ring. He began to cut a promo mocking the “what” chants from the fans.
He said that it’s Steve and not Stone Cold that’s coming to WrestleMania. Owens said that Austin won’t come to the KO show at ‘Mania to not pick a fight as he is smart enough to know what will happen to him if he faces the former Universal Champion. Owens said that Austin will acknowledge him as the new Stone Cold. Owens has done a great job in building this rivalry single-handedly.
This match was fast-paced but had some great spots of athleticism, especially on the part of the Intercontinental Champion Ricochet. Ricochet looked in control of the match with his unique offensive strikes. He went up onto the top rope looking for a 630 senton but was knocked down by Theory. Vince McMahon’s protege delivered the RP1 to seal a big win.
It was unfortunate that the match lasted less than 2 minutes. Fans were left wanting more from the two immensely talented superstars.
Theory had faced the United States Champion Finn Balor last week on RAW. This week, he went head to head with the Intercontinental champion. Theory is getting some good matches and it seems WWE has zeroed in on him to be one of the stalwarts of the company in a few years’ time. Austin Theory will take on Pat McAfee at WrestleMania.
Result – Austin Theory beat Ricochet

Becky came from underneath the ring with a steel chair in hand looking to unleash another assault on her WrestleMania opponent. Bianca, however, took a few chair shots but got her revenge when she delivered two KODs. Lynch had brought a pair of scissors to cut Bianca’s hair.
It was Bianca, who made full use of the scissors as she cut a decent amount of Becky’s hair and left the ring. Lynch was livid after the incident took place and fans can’t wait for the two wrestlers to brawl at ‘Mania.
Corbin and Drew started the match but the former tagged in Moss after pushing the Scottish Psychopath. Moss was easily taken out by Drew and Corbin had the chance to tag in but he wanted nothing to do with McIntyre who has been waiting for a long time to get his hands on him.
McIntyre delivered a Glasgow Kiss on Moss and finished the match with a Claymore. As McIntyre was celebrating the win, Corbin attacked him from behind. He sent him crashing into the ring post on two sides of the ring before delivering the End of Days. Corbin stole McIntyre’s sword – Angela and left.

The SmackDown Tag Team champions got involved in a war of words with Boogs and Nakamura early on. RK-Bro took advantage as they slammed Jimmy and Jey on the announce table. Later on, the longest-reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions took control of the match with Riddle in their corner. The 7-time champions wore down Riddle as Orton waited anxiously for the tag.
