Olympic Gold medallist Gable Steveson reportedly has signed a contract with WWE
Gable Steveson, who recently won the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold Medal, reportedly signed a WWE contract on Saturday.
Steveson also made an appearance last month at SummerSlam along with fellow gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock where he had a meeting with Vince McMahon. Steveson recently tweeted that he had signed a deal, but he didn’t mention with whom, nor was any start date given.
According to F4Wonline’s Dave Meltzer(h/t WrestlingInc.com), his next destination is WWE, and WWE superstar Seth Rolins also offered to train the Olympian.
“Just put the pen to paper…”
Earlier this week, Steveson’s older brother Bobby Steveson Signed a contract with WWE.
Just like Steveson, WWE has had a history of former Olympians Joining them. From the likes of Kurt Angle, who won a gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics and then became a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest of all time.
Another Superstar is Chad Gable, who was in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and later signed a WWE contract in 2013. WWE does have a lot of options for Gable Steveson.
They can form a tag team with Gable and can put him on the main roster to make the most use of his popularity. It can just be a matter of time for Steveson to join WWE, his popularity can make a huge difference to WWE and also can be a treat for the fans to watch the Olympic Gold medalist in the ring.
