WWE may have Cesaro lined up for Edge or Roman Reigns after they are done with their WrestleMania 37 fight
Royal Rumble 2021 winner Edge is scheduled to take on Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title at WrestleMania 37.
And with not long to go in that PPV, WWE may already have their next fights planned. This is what Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio this week (h/t Wrestling-Edge).
Cesaro had his title fight against Roman Reigns scrapped at Fastlane, which is scheduled for later this month on 21st March.
And Meltzer thinks that the Swiss superstar could be saved for a title fight after the WrestleMania 37 title match between ‘The Rated R Superstar’ and ‘The Tribal Chief’ is done with.
“I guess they’re saving Cesaro for after WrestleMania.”
It’s about time that Cesaro got the push. He is definitely one of the most underrated wrestlers in the promotion right now.
What direction can Cesaro’s storyline take with Roman Reigns or Edge after WrestleMania?
Cesaro has for long been ignored by WWE, but recently, he seems to be getting the respect he deserves from the promotion.
However, Daniel Bryan winning the Elimination Chamber match to take on Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title at Fastlane was another setback to him.
Cesaro was initially supposed to win it, but instead, it was his good friend Bryan who out as the victor.
Nevertheless, it could mean that Cesaro gets disgruntled with either Reigns and Bryan which could see him get a title shot against either of them. Or, of course, it might also be a possibility to face Edge if the latter wins at WrestleMania 37.
But for now, it is his rivalry with the returning Seth Rollins that should keep him busy.
