WWE confirmed that a new factor Retribution was behind the chaos on Monday Night Raw
This week’s Monday Night Raw was plagued with lighting issues and sound problems. While many believed that this was down to a storm in the area, WWE confirmed that a faction named Retribution was behind all this.
Retribution were a group of cloaked stars and their identities weren’t revealed just yet. They even attacked a power generator and set it on fire by throwing Molotov cocktails onto it.

WWE had promised that a new faction was to arrive on Raw and Retribution has left a huge impact already.
However, there are several questions being raised about who the members of this faction could be.
WWE already has a ton of wrestlers on their roster, and there could be some big names in this faction.
The UE gets a push?
The Undisputed Era had been in the doldrums on NXT for a while until Adam Cole and co destroyed the NXT Tag Champions.
While Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong confirmed that NXT was their house, the quartet have been long overdue a move to the main roster.
However, the Era have made NXT their home and it is difficult to confirm that they would have the same impact as a faction on Raw.
Taking up the new name could be one move by them, but the Era could also started a rivalry with Imperium, which also has four members.
The other big question mark regarding UE being Retribution is that there seems to be a female member in the Raw faction and the UE don’t have a female star in their group.
Other stars leading the charge?
While the UE could be a logical group making the step up given their numbers, WWE could also try something else.
There are several NXT stars that could be pushed to the main roster, Finn Balor, Dominik Dijakovic or even some of the Cruiserweights from 205 Live.
Balor had gone back to NXT but hasn’t been able to click there. Stars such as Tony Nese have featured on the main brands for a while but they have never gotten the right kind of backing during their time as cruiserweights.
Some of these stars could also have come up from Raw Underground, the segment that Shane McMahon debuted on this week’s show.
This could also be a move to re-sign some of the stars WWE released during the Covid-19 pandemic. WWE could use an angle of the released stars returning and taking a shot at the promotion after being fired.
However, most of the released stars, such as Heath Slater, Taynara Conti and Eric Young have found new promotions to work in.
Nevertheless, WWE was able to add something interesting to their ranks this week. We should learn more about the group later, and the possibility of a female star being in the action does make things very intriguing.
