Rumours were strife regarding one big WWE star contributing $40,000 towards Shad Gaspard with the name CTC
The wrestling world is still coming to terms with the shock passing away of former WWE star Shad Gaspard.
The former Cryme Tyme member was washed away at a beach but he wanted his son to be rescued by guards before they could attend to him.
Unfortunately, his body was found recently and the terrible accident got a lot of stars talking. Tributes and heartfelt messages have flooded for Gaspard on social media, and recently a GoFundMe was set up for the departed wrestler.
The goal was to raise $100,000 but that was smashed in a matter of days. Cody Rhodes, Tony Khan, Natalya, Frankie Kazarian and a host of others have donated to the fund, but there is some confusion regarding a donor who sent $40,000.
The anonymous donor simply put up a message “CTC RIP” and sent the $40,000 to the GoFundMe account.
Somebody with the name CTC RIP just donated $40,000 to the Shad Gaspard fundraiser, taking it over the 100k target.
I'm fairly sure CTC stands for Cryme Tyme Cenation from when they briefly teamed together back in 2008 and that John Cena may have just done something incredible. pic.twitter.com/BFjrzJXVro

Did John Cena donate the $40,000?
There is no confirmation of the news yet but many outlets have suggested that WWE legend John Cena was the one to make the $40,000 donation.
The multi-time world champion hasn’t been seen on TV much since WrestleMania 36 but he is known for all his charity work outside the ring.
One reason why Cena is being linked with the donation is that CTC was a short-lived faction in WWE. CTC stood for Cryme Time Cenation and it saw Shad, Cena and JTG team up for a few matches.
Cena hasn’t come out and said that he made the donation, and it wouldn’t be like him to take credit for his move.
However, speculation runs wild in any business, and it is doing the same regarding the $40,000 donation.
Nevertheless, the wrestling world was united in praising all the work Gaspard had done over the years. Many looked up to him and praised his character as he left a positive impression. The wrestling world was just coming to terms with Gaspard’s death when the tragic news of Hana Kimaru’s passing away also came.
Kimaru was bullied for some moves away from the wrestling ring. She was just 22 when she was found dead in her home.
