Big E suffered a broken neck this week on Smackdown but has been doing well of late and won’t require surgery – Booker T sent in his wishes
Big E teamed up with long-time friend Kofi Kingston to take on the team of Sheamus and Ridge Holland in a tag team match. The two teams have been involved in a feud over the last few weeks.
In a segment during the match, Ridge and Big E were involved in a tussle when Holland delivered a belly-to-belly suplex on the former WWE champion. Big E tried his best to rotate his body aptly so that he could land on his back. Unfortunately, he couldn’t turn entirely and all of his body weight fell on his neck as he landed on top of his head.
The fall was quite difficult to watch and E was stretchered backstage and taken to a hospital. Many Superstars have sent their good thoughts and prayers for the former multi-time Tag Team Champion. Hall of Famer Booker T also wished for Big E’s speedy recovery. Booker’s tweet was quite positive and motivational like the man is. He wrote:
“Get well soon E! You’ll be back better than ever.”
Big E shares another update on his condition
The hugely popular Big E has been in the thoughts and prayers of his fans and colleagues ever since he suffered the devastating accident.
Everyone was worried and wanted to know about the status of his injury after he was stretchered out of the premises. Big E himself shared a video wearing a neck brace thanking everyone who sent him good thoughts. He said he was feeling fine physically but the doctors told him he has broken his neck. The ever-smiling and entertaining Big E was at his usual self and without the neck brace, it would have been difficult to fathom how bad the fall was.
In another video that he posted later, he looked much better and once again he thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers. He would inform that he hasn’t done any damage to his spinal cord. Big E has been ever-present in WWE for the last few years. He has provided the fans with many moments to cherish. Big E is widely respected and beloved and we all hope he recovers well.
