WWE SmackDown Preview: Roman Reigns and Goldberg will have a huge contract signing
Last week’s SmackDown was a little weird as no fans were in the arena due to the coronavirus pandemic.
WWE is shifting all personnel to the Performance Center as all their future shows, including WrestleMania 36, would take place from this location.
The fans would be locked out from all events till further notice, however, SmackDown could be the preview for some interesting clashes ahead of WWE WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns will challenge Goldberg for the WWE Universal title. Reigns spoke greatly about his desire to win the title again last week, but the pair will meet on Friday.
Contract signings don’t always go well, especially with two of the toughest men in the business being in the ring.
We saw how it went for The OC against the Undertaker recently, and it will be a miracle if no one is hurt.
Will Reigns send a message to Goldberg or will the champ get one over his challenger? That can only be answered on this week’s SmackDown.
Drew Gulak and Daniel Bryan sort of teamed up last week as Bryan picked up the win over Cesaro.
Bryan was also attacked by Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura before Gulak made the save, so the pair could team up for some tag team action.
Gulak and Bryan have the potential to become an incredible team, and it will be interesting to see if this takes place.
Last week, Asuka came up and attacked Alexa Bliss which allowed Sasha Banks and Bayley to pick up the win.
The Tag champions, Kabuki Warriors, need someone to face at WrestleMania and we could see some challengers for the title.
Bliss and Nikki Cross seem the best option at the moment, and it will be interesting to see if they are pushed.
John Cena cut a brilliant promo last week with Bray Wyatt joining him, despite there being no crowd.
The pair will face off at WrestleMania and it could be a match for the ages. However, Cena and Wyatt could have more to say this week ahead of their bout.
Cena hasn’t wrestled for a long time and that could be brought out by Wyatt, and it will be interesting to see if The Fiend makes an appearance again.
Also, last week, we didn’t see too many matches with WWE playing footage from previous shows.
A similar decision could be taken this time too, given the circumstances regarding COVID 19 and how WWE has to ensure the safety of all staff.
