WWE SmackDown preview: Roman Reigns in action as Daniel Bryna calls The Fiend
Just two nights away from Survivor Series PPV, SmackDown provides an open platform for the superstars to make one final statement.
One of the biggest weekends for the pro-wrestling audience also begins today as the go-home show for the PPV emanates from the same venue to that of this Sunday’s show.
A summoning segment and a huge six-man tag team match have been confirmed to hype it up a well as provide a boost up for the Survivor Series buildups.
Also, we expect major invasions from different rosters on tonight’s SmackDown that gets hosted by the All-State Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Huge main event confirmed for SmackDown
As mentioned earlier, the main event of the night is official, courtesy of WWE.com. The creative team has decided to put the face of the SmackDown brand into the main event of the show to garner attention from the audience.
Roman Reigns will also lead Team SmackDown into Survivor Series which is why the announced tag team match is important for him as he gets to test his bond with the other members.
Here’s the announcement from the official website of the WWE:
“King Corbin has been trying to stake his claim to The Big Dog’s yard on SmackDown but has yet to impose his royal will on the makeup of Team SmackDown for Survivor Series.
“Roman Reigns has held his ground and will team with Mustafa Ali & Shorty G to face Corbin, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.”
Last week, Mustafa Ali & Shorty G defeated Ziggler & Roode with the help of Reigns who neutralized Corbin’s attempts to give upper-hand to the latter duo.
However, the week prior, King Corbin earned a victory over Reigns with an intervention by The Showoff & The Glorious One. Corbin caught The Big Dog with a vicious End of Days to secure the pin.
The question remains which team will stand tall by the end of tonight’s big match as the tensions continue between Reigns and Corbin.
Bryan summoning Bray Wyatt
A major attraction for tonight’s episode of SmackDown is going to be Daniel Bryan who tries to summon Bray Wyatt into the show.
We have not seen him live-in-person in an arena (except for The Fiend version and the Firefly Funhouse segments) ever since he returned following WrestleMania. This is going to be an interesting segment for the audience who can hear out from Wyatt, live.
Bryan and Wyatt meet for the Universal Title at Survivor Series 2019. The rivalry has escalated in recent weeks via the champion’s backstage attack on Bryan and a “Miz TV” disruption, last week.
This led Bryan laying down the title challenge and set up the huge match. We’ll get to see which one of them will stand tall when Bryan summons Wyatt to the ring on this edition of SmackDown.
