WWE SmackDown Preview 29 May 2020: Who reaches the final of the International Championship tournament?

WWE SmackDown Preview: SmackDown has a couple of big matches set up for this week as they look to crown a new champion.

The Intercontinental Championship tournament has two big clashes set up this week. Four of the best SmackDown stars take part in hopes of making the final, and this is where we start this week’s WWE SmackDown preview.

Jeff Hardy beat up Sheamus (WWE)

Bryan vs Hardy

Jeff Hardy picked up a huge win last week as he defeated Sheamus to reach the semis of the tournament.

The Charismatic Enigma didn’t look out of place on his return but will face a tougher clash on this week’s show.

Daniel Bryan in action against Drew Gulak (WWE)

Daniel Bryan got the better of his partner Drew Gulak in an excellent match, and now, two former IC champions will go head-to-head.

Styles vs Elias

It was somewhat of a surprise seeing Elias get the W over Baron Corbin in this tournament. Corbin was part of the Money in the Bank match, and had Elias’ number several times in the past.

However, Elias will have a chance of reaching the finals but faces the always impressive AJ Styles. Styles defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in an excellent bout a week back, and the Phenomenal One will be keen on getting another belt around his waist.

More from Rose and Deville?

Mandy Rose lost, once again, to Sonya Deville in a mixed tag team match last week and Dolph Ziggler also got a cheap shot on Otis too.

Sonya Deville got the better of Mandy Rose on SmackDown, again (WWE)

The rivalry between the quartet seems far from over, and it will be interesting to see if things reach another level on this week’s show.

Deville has been excellent as a heel and pairing her with Ziggler has worked well. Otis and Rose might be enjoying their time as a couple. However, on SmackDown, they don’t seem to have an answer for their foes.
