WWE SmackDown Preview: AJ Styles might be one of the greatest WWE stars of this generation but he does have a lot of challengers for the Intercontinental Title.
Styles beat Daniel Bryan to win the title and he has a big clash ahead of him on this week’s SmackDown.
The Phenomenal One will be defending his title not against Bryan, and this is where we start this week’s WWE SmackDown preview.
The Phenomenal One might have lost to Matt Riddle recently but that was a non-title clash. However, this week sees Styles put his title on the line and he faces Drew Gulak.
Gulak has been impressive since teaming up with Bryan, and could spring a surprise. The technical superstar is one of the best workers in the ring, and if Styles lets his guard down, we could be in for a new Intercontinental Champion.
While last week we saw Baron Corbin get demolished after the tribute to the Undertaker, one of those who hit out at Corbin, Riddle, will be in the ring.
However, this is a different segment as the Original Bro will be interviewed by Michael Cole.
Riddle does have a huge win over Styles on his SmackDown debut but this is a chance for him to take center-stage with his mic skills.
What does the future hold for possibly one of the rising stars in WWE? That answer can only be provided on SmackDown.
The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, just won’t let things go. He has targeted Jeff Hardy ever since the Charismatic Enigma has returned from a long injury lay-off and will do so again.
Sheamus will raise a toast in Hardy’s name on SmackDown. However, it is unlikely he will have many good things to say about his rival.
Hardy has always shot back at Sheamus since his return, and something similar should take place if the Celtic Warrior goes overboard.
