The Hell in a Cell go-home edition of WWE SmackDown will be the final build towards Hell in a Cell which will be happening this Sunday. The Only match announced for tonight’s SmackDown is the return of Madcap Moss, who was taken out by Happy Baron Corbin a few weeks back.
Like last week, tonight’s episode of SmackDown will also not see Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is not scheduled. Still, Drew McIntyre, The New Day, and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos are on the arena website.
Moss has not been seen on WWE since the time he was attacked by Happy Corbin on the May 13 episode of “SmackDown” Corbin attacked Moss with a steel chair and even used the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy to d the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy too.
On the following week’s episode of SmackDown, Corbin said he’s the happiest he’s ever been. This attack is nothing to damage him. He even took things further by destroying the Andre The Giant Memorial Trophy.
Moss also took to Twitter and said that Corbin would see a brand new side to him. WWE is also considering a gimmick change for Moss. This is the Tweet Moss wrote for Corbin,
“You spit in the face of Andre’s legacy. You tried to end my career. But you didn’t – cuz Madcap is built different. Corbin, get ready to see a side of me you’ve never seen before No jokes. No cap. Next week on #SmackDown I’m coming to WHOOP YOUR ASS.”
WWE is also promoting Shinsuke Nakamura and Riddle for tonight’s SmackDown. This makeshift tag team stable is in line for a tag title shot on Monday Night Raw after a disqualification win over the WWE undisputed Tag Team Champions, The Usos. However, it has been confirmed that the title match won happen at Hell in a Cell. Maybe it will occur in next month’s Money in the Bank event.
As of now, no matches have been announced for tonight’s show.
WWE SmackDown Women’s Champions Ronda Rousey is scheduled for tonight’s episode. We might see a confrontation between her and Lacey Evans.
