WWE SmackDown Preview: WWE Backlash is just a week or so away and there is a lot to cover on this week’s SmackDown.
The Women’s Tag Team titles are on the line with Sasha Banks and Bayley trying to reclaim their lost glory.
Further, we will get a preview of the Intercontinental Championship clash between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan.
However, one major story revolves around Jeff Hardy, and we start this week’s WWE SmackDown preview with this storyline.
Hardy opens up
Hardy was to feature in the IC tournament last week but was arrested after Elias was injured ahead of their clash.
However, Hardy came out later in the night to interfere in Sheamus’ match and cost the Celtic Warrior his place in the final.
The Charismatic Enigma will be sharing his side of the story on this week’s show, and this could solve the mystery of who attacked Elias.
Tag titles on the line
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have a big rivalry set up it seems with Bayley and Banks challenging the champs for the title.
Bayley could pick up another title as she is currently the SmackDown Women’s Champion. However, there have been rumblings of discontent between Bayley and Banks, and it will be interesting to see if that comes up in this clash.
Bryan and Styles
Styles and Bryan will meet in the final of the Intercontinental Championship, and meet before this clash.
The pair took different routes to the final but there could be fireworks between them ahead of the finals. Both are looking to get another title run, and it could get a little mad when two of the best meet head-to-head.
Miz and Morrison have something to think about
The Miz and John Morrison have a big match against Braun Strowman for the Universal Title at Backlash.
This is going to be a handicap match, and it will be interesting to see what tactics they use against the champion.
Miz and Morrison will feature on this week’s SmackDown and could share more about their plans for the big clash.
