WWE SmackDown Results and Grades: The wrestling world was still reeling from the sexual harassment accusations from many indie stars over the previous 48 hours.
However, a SmackDown show still needed to be completed with Matt Riddle expected to make his debut.
The Original Bro was also accused by an indie star, but he is taking legal action against the accusations.
AJ Styles came out to celebrate his Intercontinental title win and this is where we start with the WWE SmackDown results and grades.
Bro makes a statement
Styles came out to ask Daniel Bryan to hand him the title and put it around his waist as other SmackDown stars were also in the ring.
Matt Riddle made his way to the ring and a clash between Styles and the Original Bro was setup. Riddle got the win, in the end, thanks to some interference from ring-side.
Riddle beats Styles
Grade A
The opening segment was excellent as Styles showed his best bits as a heel. Riddle getting the win was excellent, and it will be interesting to see what is next.
Hardy vs Sheamus on the cards
Jeff Hardy was interviewed by Renee Young and was upset at losing to Sheamus. However, he didn’t want to listen to the Celtic Warrior much.

Sheamus was interviewed by Kayla Braxton later on, and he promised to end Hardy’s career.
Grade B
Another Sheamus vs Hardy match seems to be on the cards but this segment was decent enough. Hopefully, they don’t use Hardy’s substance abuse past as part of the storyline.
G vs Rawley
Shorty G took on Mojo Rawley and it was the smaller star who picked up the win via a roll-up.
G beats Rawley
Grade C
G getting more airtime is good but they need to concentrate on his wrestling and not on his height and name.
Miz TV
Mandy Rose was the guest on Miz TV as the Miz and John Morrison blamed Otis for losing the clash against Braun Strowman.
Rose came out and so did Sonya Deville. The pair clashed and Deville moved away before putting the Miz into between the two former best friends.

Miz got slapped for his efforts by Rose.
Grade C
Just when you thought the Rose vs Deville rivalry was over, they are back at it again. The pair going at each other could be great but the segment gets a negative spot for the Miz and Morrison doing their comedy routine again.
New Day vs Lucha House Party
Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik faced off against Big E and Kofi Kingston. This was a great match with the New Day picking up the win.
After the clash, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura attacked the New Day and took a shot at Michael Cole for ignoring the pair too.

New Day beat Lucha House Party
Grade B
This was a great match showing just how good House Party is. Hopefully, we get to see more of the pair and also Cesaro and Nakamura.
Cross vs Banks
There was some confusion as to who gets a shot at Bayley’s title and a match between Nikki Cross and Sasha Banks was setup as Bayley did her best to put Banks into problems.
Cross put on a great showing but it was Banks that got the win.

Banks beats Cross
Grade B
Banks did really well and so did Cross but this segment doesn’t make sense unless Alexa Bliss and Cross challenge for the titles again.
He’s here
Bray Wyatt came back in a Firefly Fun House segment and explained why he had been missing.
The champion, Braun Strowman, interrupted Wyatt but the old Wyatt, Eater of the Worlds, appeared and asked Strowman to find him.

Grade A
Strowman looked shocked seeing the old form of Wyatt come out, and it is interesting that WWE is allowed Bray to not always bring back the Fiend.
WWE SmackDown TV ratings and viewership
This week’s SmackDown brought in an average of 2.09million viewers over the two hours (h/t Showbuzz Daily).
The show just about beat the ratings from the 12 June episode, which got in 2.07m viewers over the two hours.
