WWE SmackDown Results and Grades: WWE had been hit hard by the coronavirus recently as several talents confirmed they were infected.
Kayla Braxton, Jamie Noble and Renee Young had all spoken about this, and SmackDown decided to do something different.
They started off with a tribute to the Undertaker, but there were some matches too. WWE SmackDown wasn’t the show that many expected and here are the results and grades.
Boneyard match recall
WWE featured some celebrities and stars speaking about Taker as they showed an edited version of the Boneyard Match.
That clash between AJ Styles and Taker was one of the best at WrestleMania 36, and it made sense to use this after the epic “Last Ride” documentary.

Grade A
This was one of the best things WWE could have done after the positive Covid-19 cases. The Boneyard Match was great and having stars like Kane speak about Taker in between was great too.
Bayley’s new rival
Sasha Banks and Bayley were on commentary duty as Nikki Cross, Alexa Bliss, Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke wrestled to become the No.1 contender for Bayley’s title.

While Bliss and Cross are a tag team, it was every woman for herself as they all tried to get the win. In the end, it was Cross who rolled up Evans for a surprise win.
Cross wins
Grade B
The Fatal 4-way was certainly fun, and it was interesting that Cross went on to win the match. She was a little crazy on NXT, and maybe that is something she can dial up when facing Bayley.
Eight-man tag match
There was a huge tag match next with the New Day and Lucha House Party took on the Miz, John Morrison, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura.

The match was great as all the stars had something to show off and there was some chaos, as expected. It were the faces who won with House Party getting the pin.

Grade B
Corbin vs Hardy
We got Braun Strowman speaking about Bray Wyatt and how he was going to defeat the Eater of the Worlds. The match will be a non-title one at Extreme Rules, so there should be some shenanigans.

Baron Corbin also mocked Taker after the Deadman’s segment, and was attacked by Jeff Hardy.
The pair met in the main event on SmackDown. It was Hardy who got the win in the end as Corbin was then attacked by Big E, Matt Riddle and Strowman as the faces celebrated.

Hardy beats Corbin
Grade B
It was fun to see Corbin getting beat up as he is a heel who gets under the skin. However, there was nothing else much to speak about regarding the main event.
