WWE SmackDown results and grades: Roman Reigns promises to leave WWE in case this happens
SummerSlam 2021 is just a day away and this was the final show before the big WWE PPV event.
John Cena vs Roman Reigns was the big clash and The Tribal Chief upped the stakes with a huge announcement on the show.
However, we start this WWE SmackDown results and grades review piece with the Rated-R Superstar, Edge.
WWE legend Edge made his way to the ring and he spoke about how Seth Rollins could have ended him seven years ago. However, he admitted being in a dark place now and promised to make Rollins pay.
Grade B
The first match of the evening was between Rey Mysterio and Jey Uso. Dominik tried to help his father by cheating and that allowed Jey to get the win.

Kevin Owens faced off against the broke Baron Corbin. However, the match barely kicked off as Big E came charging in and attacked Corbin, who had the Money in the Bank briefcase.
E, the rightful owner of the case, wanted it back but Corbin ran away.

Natalya was back in action alongside Tamina as they took on Shotzi and Nox.
And it were the challengers for the tag team gold that got the win.

Rollins made his way to the ring to send a message to Edge. He made fun of Edge and claimed he wouldn’t be able to get to his level.
However, The Brood’s music played and Edge warned Rollins before blood fell from the ceiling onto Rollins.

Otis was in action against Montez Ford as the Street Profits and Academy clashed.
However, it was Otis who got the win in an impressive fashion against the former tag champion.

Shinsuke Nakamura, the new IC champion, and Rick Boogs teamed up to face Commander Azeez and Apollo Crews.
Nakamura and Boogs worked well to get the win in the end.

Bianca Belair was to defend her title on SummerSlam but had two matches on SmackDown. She first faced Zelina Vega and then Carmella, but it were easy wins for the EST of WWE.

Roman Reigns and Cena faced off in the ring before their clash on Saturday.
Cena claimed that 3 seconds would be enough to turn the tables on Reigns. Reigns then promised to leave WWE if he were to lose tomorrow and tried to cheap shot Cena.
However, the title challenger rolled up Reigns for a three count and warned him for Saturday.
