Here are the SmackDown results for the 6th of May, 2022.
RK-Bro and The Bloodline are set to come face-to-face while Sasha Banks took on Shayna Baszler in a physical battle.
Charlotte Flair was set to face Aliyah in a one-on-one match to kick off the show but the bout did not even get started as Ronda Rousey and the SmackDown Women’s Champion had a brawl.
The Queen came to the ring and started giving excuses about losing to Ronda Rousey last week in an “I Quit” Best the Clock Challenge. Flair addressed Aliyah as Ronda and said that she will beat her down considering her as The Baddest Woman on The Planet herself. The SmackDown Women’s Champion assaulted Aliyah even before the match started. Rousey came out to intervene. Flair sent her into the barricade.
Back in the ring, Flair was about to get locked in an arm bar but a handful of officials and referees tried separating the two women. They were having a hard time though as both women fought through them and exchanged punches and kicks before Flair was finally pulled out of the ring to close the segment.
Sasha delivered a Meteora early on and began to give Baszler a taste of her own medicine as she began manipulating her joints. Baszler countered and looked to lock in an arm bar but Banks resisted. Natalya got up on the ring apron and distracted Banks allowing Baszler to take advantage and drop her with an innovative Gutwrench Powerbomb. The Queen of Spades went on to plant Banks face-first to take control of the match. Baszler started wearing down the Boss and focused her attack on her left arm.
Baszler was sent outside the ring and Naomi distracted her to allow Banks to hit a baseball slide. Banks slammed Baszler’s arm on the announce table. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion brought her back inside the ring and had a near fall after delivering a Meteora. Banks took out Natalya outside the ring and looked as if she would finish the match but Baszler rolled her up and got her feet up on the ropes and Natalya also ensured the same to give the heel a win. After the match, Natalya and Baszler attacked the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Baszler was about to injure Banks’ arm as Naomi was being forced by Natalya to watch on. However, Naomi fought out of the predicament and saved Banks as the champions took out the No. 1 contenders to close the segment.
