Here is everything you need to know, including WWE SmackDown Results, Winners and Highlights from February 11
WWE is on the road to WrestleMania, reflected in this week’s WWE SmackDown Results. The show was filled with top superstars. Goldberg made another appearance on Friday Night to hype the blockbuster, and we got a belter of a tag team match for the Elimination Chamber. Let us know more about WWE SmackDown Results.
1.WWE official Sonya Deville kicked off the show
Sonya Deville kicked off Friday Night SmackDown with a left arm injury following the armbar received from Ronda Rousey last week.
Adam Pearce came in and revealed an email from Vince McMahon that has barred her from abusing her power and getting involved in Naomi’s match later in the night.
Naomi came in and stated the email didn’t say anything about her not touching the WWE official and slapped Deville.
2. New Day vs Los Lotharios
Kingston and Big E had the upper hand first up and dominated the match, but Angel and Humberto seized control cutting Big E off from his tag team partner after the commercial break.
But the new day stable came back strongly as Big E knocked down Humberto with a powerbomb, and Kingston came off the top with a double stomp.
However, the ending of the match was upset as Latin Lothario’s perfect timing rollup on Kingston gave them victory.
Result: Los Lotharios defeated Kingston and Big E
3. Sit Down interview with Roman Reigns
Michael Cole interviewed Roman Reigns backstage about his match against Goldberg at Elimination Chamber. To which he claimed that,
“If I was in WCW, everyone would be winning…because they’d still be in business.”
When the topic of discussion turned towards Brock Lesnar, Reigns laughed it off and asked why they were still talking about him. Then, he promised to “Goldberg” Goldberg at Elimination Chamber.
4. Aliyah vs Natalya
It was a Dungeon Style match as it was a third showdown between Aliyah and Natalya over the past three weeks. Nattie was seeking revenge as she attacked early, but Aliyah was up for it and fought back.
The Queen of the Harts trapped her in a Sharpshooter and forced her to tap out. Natalya attacked her further, but Xia Li came in and saved her.
Result: Natalya defeated Aliyah.
5. In-Zayn with Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs
Sami Zayn did his infamous edition In-Zayn live podcast. He showed a video of Johnny Knoxville visiting the WWE pop-up shop in Los Angeles and defaming Zayn merchandise.
Rick Boogs and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura made their way to the ring.
It turned into a verbal exchange that gave way to interference between Boogs electric guitar and microphone, but as Nakamura went to check his friend, Zayn came from behind with a Helluva Kick and knocked him down.
6. Cesaro vs Happy Corbin
This week, happy Corbin fought a lone battle with Madcap Moss sidelined against Cesaro. Unfortunately, it started with a back and forth match, and neither of the superstars gained an advantage.
Cesaro went for a Neutralized, but Corbin back body dropped him out of it. In the end, Corbin flattened The Swiss Cyborg with End of Days for the pinfall victory.
After the match, Drew McIntyre interrupted Moss eye exam and revealed that their game at Elimination Chamber will be a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Result: Happy Corbin defeated Cesaro
7. SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Naomi and Charlotte Flair
Michael Cole sat down with Goldberg during this main event match and said he would beat Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber and then destroy Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Naomi started the match with confidence as she overwhelmed The Queen early and controlled the game’s opening moments.
However, The Champion Flair came back strongly as she grounded Naomi’s challenger. Head scissors to gain control, but Naomi made a blockbuster for a near fall. Flair was sent knees first into the ring steps.
Naomi consistently put pressure on the champion while winning the title in five years. First, she bulldogged Flair to the turnbuckle, but powerful Flair drove her into the mat.
Flair missed one moonsault, and Naomi delivered the Rearview for a really close fall. The crowd pumped a head-scissor, and split-legged moonsault almost gave the fans a new champion.
Naomi went for another Rearview, but Flair blocked her and delivered the Natural Selection for the victory.
After the match, Naomi unloaded on Sonya but was cornered by Flair. However, Ronda Rousey came in and made the save and cleared both Flair and Sonya out of the ring to close the show.
Result: Charlotte Flair defeated Naomi to retain the title.
