Natalya and Asuka are part of the Raw women’s team for Survivor Series
Former WWE women’s champion Natalya took part in a Q+A session on Twitter.
Natty was hyped about the recent Total Divas episode and answered several questions from her followers.
One asked which current star Natalya would like to face and without putting up a long answer, the former Hart Dynasty member named Asuka.
The Empress of Tomorrow was incredible during her run on NXT but hasn’t been able to transition that on the two main brands.
She held the NXT Women’s title for 510 days and is a former SmackDown women’s champion too.
Winning titles as part of the Kabuki Warriors
Asuka and Kairi Sane form the Kabuki Warriors in the WWE, and the pair are the current holders of the Women’s tag team titles.
The Empress of Tomorrow and her partner, Sane, are part of Raw’s 5-woman Survivor Series team too, and it will be interesting to see how that goes in a few days.
The other members of the team include Natalya, Sarah Logan and Charlotte Flair. SmackDown also has a great team with Sasha Banks captaining the side, however, NXT are yet to confirm their stars for the triple threat match.
Asuka and Kairi Sane were seen in action during this week’s Raw too. The Empress of Tomorrow faced Natalya in a one-on-one match with the other half of the Kabuki Warriors doing a bit of distraction during the match.
The Japanese star won the match against Natalya, but a long storyline could be great for the pair.
Asuka vs Natalya in the future?
The pair facing each other over a long storyline would certainly work given their in-ring abilities.
Natalya is still one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE while Asuka’s NXT run is enough to suggest she can work wonders in the ring.
One major problem with this is seeing Asuka on the microphone. The Japanese star isn’t that great when current promos, however, she has improved on this aspect in recent months.
The other problem regarding this storyline is how the Kabuki Warriors are doing presently. It wouldn’t make sense to break up Asuka and Kairi Sane given their success as a tag team.
The pair need to face off against some quality opposition too, and that could be where Natalya comes in.
