Indian stars are set to share stage with the NXT, Raw and SmackDown roster in Superstar Spectacle
WWE Superstar Spectacle 2021 finally has more details regarding the upcoming show for Indian fans.
This has been in the works for a while and WWE have now confirmed all the details regarding the show.
WWE and Sony are in a partnership for India fans with the WWE Network exclusively available on the Sony Liv app.
Further, many WWE stars such as Charlotte Flair have visited India for special meet and greet events. However, Superstar Spectacle seems to be taking that relationship between WWE and India to another level.
The release from WWE confirmed that this was going to be a two-hour special. It also adds that a lot of Indian stars would feature on the show alongside those from Raw and SmackDown.
Triple H also shared some words regarding this event:
“We love the passion and support from the huge WWE Universe in India, so we’ve teamed up with SPN, the exclusive home of WWE in India, to surprise our fans with an incredible event to kick off 2021,”
The Game added that there would be Indian-inspired entertainment for the show.
The release confirmed that the show would be held on 26 January, 2021. This is Republic Day in India, which is one of the biggest days for the country and also a national holiday.
The show will be from the Thunderdome, that has housed most WWE events since the start of Covid-19.
A lot of Indian stars are to feature on the show. The release confirmed that current WWE stars such as Jinder Mahal, The Bollywood Boys and Indus Sher (Saurav and Rinku) are to feature.
Jeet Rama, Kavita Devi and Guru Raaj are also scheduled to appear.
Two trainees that Great Khali worked with, Giant Zanjeer and Dilsher Shanky round off the Indian participants.
However, the release added that there would be matches showcased from Drew McIntyre, Charlotte, AJ Styles, The New Day, Bayley and many others. Ric Flair is also expected to make an appearance.
The two hour show will premiere on Sony Ten 1, Ten 3 and Sony Max on Republic Day. The show starts at 8PM IST and commentary is available in both Hindi and English.
There are no details about streaming the event but this could be added to the WWE Network and Sony Liv later on.
