Microsoft has announced the list of new games coming to the Xbox Game Pass in October 2021. Here is everything you need to know about the three games.
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass is subscription based service that offers plenty of games for free. Subscribers can also enjoy discounts on the games that purchase at the Xbox Games Store. There are a variety of heavy hitters available from all generations of all Xbox consoles – from the original Xbox to the Xbox One thanks to Xbox backwards compatibility. The Xbox Game Pass includes all Gears of War and Halo games, a selection of Rare’s back catalogue, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Football Manager 2021.
Microsoft has announced the list of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in October 2021. Two games were announced at the Tokyo Game Show Expo 2021. The games that have been announced are
Marvel’s Avengers will be available on PC, Cloud, and Console via Xbox Game Pass, and it will include all of the major post-launch content that has been released for the live service game thus far. This allows players to experience not only the base story line and multiplayer modes for Marvel’s Avengers but also the new hero episodes starring Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. Players can also enjoy the recently released War for Wakanda Expansion Pack.
Marvel’s Avengers: War for Wakanda expansion is the most significant post-launch content released for the game. It adds Black Panther as a playable character to the roster and pits players against Ulysses Klaue, who is attempting to steal Vibranium from Wakanda. Future expansions and updates will also be available through Xbox Game Pass, though it was not specified how long the game will be available through Xbox Game Pass.
Scarlet Nexus places equal emphasis on the plot, worldbuilding, and character development as it does on combat. And it’s a tale worth hearing, set in a fascinating world where the vast majority of the population is endowed with mental abilities. City streets are adorned with augmented-reality advertisements, people can send messages directly to each other’s brains, and those with exceptional combat abilities are drafted into the OSF (Others Suppression Force) to fight against otherworldly monstrosities known as “Others.”
Beginning your adventure with either Yuito Sumeragi, an energetic recruit from a prestigious political family, or Kasane Randall, the mysterious scout whose power and skill has gained great notoriety among the OSF, the game features a dual narrative. Only by intertwining their various experiences will you be able to reveal the entire story and unlock all the mysteries of a Brain Punk future caught between technology and psychic abilities in Scarlet Nexus.
Let me set the scene for AI: The Somnium Files and if it doesn’t intrigue you I don’t know what will. A gruesome crime scene, a woman riding a merry-go-round with her left eye gouged out. A rain-soaked theme park in disrepair. It’s a perfectly noirish start, introducing us to a future Tokyo and our hero, detective Kaname Date. Date is soon interrupted by his partner, a fully sentient AI who lives in his left eye socket and occasionally assumes the form of a one-eyed transparent hamster or a young woman. Her name is Aiba, which is an abbreviation for eyeball.
As frustrating as making essentially random decisions can be, especially when time is of the essence, the dream puzzles highlight The Somnium File’s main appeal, which is sheer creativity. Both the interactive segments, which include some rapid events thrown in for variety, and the visual novel portions, in which you simply follow the plot, are full of surprises.
You can enjoy these superb games for free if you subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass. They will be available in the month of October.
