Yao Ming was the 2002, Round 1, 1stoverall draft pick by the Houston Rockets. Ming played in the position of Center and he is also inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Before entering the NBA, Ming played for the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association. He played for the Sharks from 1997 to 2002. During his time with the Sharks, Ming became the CBA champion (2002), CBA MVP (2001), and CBA Finals MVP (2001).
