“You are not like other people” – Watch when Shaquille O’Neal made a hilarious appearance on Good Burger

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal had a small cameo in the movie Good Burger, which was released back in 1997.

Like Michael Jordan in Space Jam, Shaquille O’Neal might not have been seen as cool enough to beat off a squad of basketball-playing aliens. However, the NBA star has appeared in plenty of movies as cameos.

Whether you don’t chuckle every time Shaq asks if the unknown voice is “Kobe?” then you probably purchase a basic ham sandwich as part of your meal package. The big guy made an appearance in Scary Movie IV in a sequence mocking the, at the time, horrific “Saw” flicks.

With cameos in “After The Sunset” and “Freddy Got Fingered,” O’Neal has also managed to expand the content of his Wikipedia entry. But the LA Lakers hero’s best on-screen performance is in the funny “Good Burger” movie, Nickelodeon’s second ever production, which stars Kenan & Kel, the American equivalent of the Chuckle Brothers.

One of the odder (and greasy) children’s comedies hit theatres 25 years ago. Good Burger from 1997 stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.

Even though Shaq’s lines from the smash movie Good Burger with Ed’s “special sauce” won’t be making any lists of the best acting performances ever anytime soon, his mere presence in the movie captures the essence of late 90s/early 2000s television.

Kids were starting to want more access to their athletic idols; pictures on bedroom walls were no longer sufficient. When Shaq agreed to feature with Kenan and Kel, he was acting as the contemporary equivalent of Pele and Bobby Moore in Sylvester Stallone’s escape to victory

The movie doesn’t make light of the reality that, yes, delivering a Good Burger to Shaquille O’Neal personally would be an amazing, wonderful event for youngsters in 1997 when Dexter and Ed get the chance to do so.
