Khama Worthy has won his first two UFC fights since coming to the promotion
UFC Lightweight star Khama Worthy is riding high after his win over Luis Pena at Fight Night: Poirier vs Hooker.
The 33-year-old has won his last seven fights across promotions and also picked up wins in his two UFC battles.
Worthy was speaking exclusively to WERMMA and was asked about some of his losses. The 33-year-old lost to current UFC stars Paul Felder, Billy Quarantillo and Kyle Nelson.
The UFC star was asked if he wanted to get wins over these rivals, but suggested that he was past all this:
“I don’t really dwell on it, there is also Kyle Nelson, the last person I lost to, in the UFC. He was supposed to be on the card with me but had some visa issues.
“I mean like those mo********** are behind me. Paul Felder is the only person in front of me, he’s like ranked. The rest, they’re behind me. They’re not making anywhere near as much as fast as I am.”
Unsure about Felder’s status
Worthy opened up on the situation on Felder and believed the UFC star had just another fight left in him:
“As for Paul Felder, I am cool as shit with Paul. If the situation would occur. I mean Paul is supposed to be retired, I think he has just one more fight in him and he’s interested and stuff. Me personally, I wouldn’t even really push for it.”
However, the 33-year-old ended this part with an interesting take on why he isn’t looking to get a win over those who defeated him:
“I don’t think about losses and getting things back. You lose for a reason, you learn and you move forward.”
Worthy added that he had a four-fight contract with the UFC and was thinking about renewing it. The 33-year-old also just wanted to fight and was happy as long as the UFC didn’t match him up against someone who wasn’t on his grade.
Worthy has been on two of the biggest cards on the UFC already, and it will be interesting to see when he gets another chance to show off his abilities.
