Ryder keeps nicknames again
Recently released WWE superstar Zack Ryder shared two nicknames he has stored for WWE stars on Twitter.
Ryder said that he has saved Luke Gallows as Festus and Hornswoggle as Dylan from work.
It depends. For example, @The_BigLG is in my phone as “Festus” & @wwehornswoggle is “Dylan From Work.” https://t.co/lT7D4PFqrz

Zack Ryder may be gone, but that hasn’t stopped the superstar from trying to claim some of his nicknames after his departure. Ryder has filed trademarks for the terms “Internet Champion” and “Alwayz Ready.” The trademarks were filed under two classes, which include merchandise and “entertainment services by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality”.
Ryder has a long history of referring to himself as the “Internet Champion,” ever since he debuted the championship on his YouTube show, with the belt even appearing during actual WWE shows. Whether or not Ryder will be granted the trademarks is yet to be seen, but it does show that Ryder is at least looking to begin thinking about marketing himself with some of his most iconic names.
Ryder speaks after release
WWE announced a slew of releases last month, with several Superstars being let go due to the current situation in the world. One of those Superstars to be released was former United States and Intercontinental Champion, Zack Ryder.
Ryder spoke about his release on his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, where he revealed that WWE had sent a mass text message to watch a Vince McMahon video about the cuts that would take place.
“We all got this mass text to watch this Vince McMahon video explaining that these cuts would be happening, so I can’t say unexpected. I don’t know if I’ve ever said this before, I never re-signed my contract, so my deal was going to be up in August and I had been dealing with contract negotiations for over a year and the anxiety I had about it – Do I stay? Do I go? Do I stay? Do I go? It was really eating me up. So, when that call was made and I was released, the decision was made for me, so instantly I was relieved, you know what I’m saying?”
